Wow really I was worried that was the pro, It looks great to me and I'm happy they are still making it look nicer.

Well, they are not THAT good looking. XD But it looks nice. Duscae looks lusher than before. There seem to be more and thicker trees.
They were saying about the Pro that it will make good use of HDR and they are still working on that.

They do look very nice though the graphics of this game are always impressing me, and yeah It's nice that they are adding more trees and stuff to make it have more detail.

Well, that was a waste of time again. >__>

I think it will look fine in the end, at least on PS4. I hope they get the Xbox One version up to par too even if it is at 800p instead of the dynamic 1080p on PS4. Final Fantasies were always tech showcases. That's very important for them. They also want to sell the Luminous graphic engine in the future...

Yeah It's up to you on if you get the pro but I think it's going to look great on ps4 anyway, I'm sure they'll be working to get the best they can from the Xbox One as well. :D And yeah FF is a great series for showing off the powers of graphics and stuff.

And yeah lol that wasn't very eventful but I think we both knew that anyway before watching. XD

Also by sell the luminous engine do you mean make more games in the future with it or do companies actually sell their engines to others?

Both. To use the Luminous Engine, that they have worked on for many years, in other Square Enix games and sell the engine to other developers to use it in their games. They actually did promote it a lot already on various tech conventions and conferences:

Like on CEDEC:

or on SIGGRAPH:

It's in their best interest that the game ends up looking great on consoles.

Now look at that! It definitely is a considerable improvement:

I'm alright with scaling back the lighting and a couple of effects to have more resources for foliage and LOD (level of detail).

@Chapstick they finally got rid of the brown. :D

Omg that is so lush! I am totally okay with that as well, The detail and foliage is so improved so if the lighting needs to go down for that then I'm okay, Not to mention the lighting is still good anyway.

Yeah and to be honest Episode Duscae's lighting just really shined (in the true sense of the word) in the morning or in the late evening when the sun stood low, and in interiors...and on the characters, making them much more three-dimensional. Aw, now I miss the original lighting again... :( But Episode Duscae's middays felt kinda dim and dull. Overall it looks nicer, no doubt.

By the way, here is the city screen you liked:

R.I.P original lighting... At least it's birthed more overall detail and attention to the landscape. They've brought this version to be even prettier from the delay so I'm happy about it now.

I have a feeling I'd be more accepting of this game if they did not try to turn it into a huge media empire filled with product placements and such things. As of now I see cool ideas but they get clouded by their desire to make it look like the next hot thing with anything within their powers.

I can't blame them though they are a company trying to sell a product so It makes sense they would market it as much as possible everywhere possible. I also like the idea of it's universe staying around in future games like how the world of FFXII was in other games as well.

The product placement though I definitely agree especially the american express one.

Omg wow that's a lot of songs! Amazing ones as well though there's some I'd like but maybe more will be dlc at some point later on?
This is definitely going to make the car drives a lot funner.

I'm shocked there isn't X-2 music though because that game had great music. Real Emotion is amazing and I sing it everyday!

That's alot of songs...I like it! And speaking of Dissidia FF, do you guys think that Hope, Lightning, or Vanille could probably make it in, or maybe not since Hope and Vanille aren't exactly the protagonists?

Lol, I remember having the opening of FFX-2 on a DVD from some gaming magazine and playing it over and over again, because I liked it so much.

I was into J-pop back then...

Besides Lightning who's already in I'd like Vanille to get in but there's so many characters I want to get in, I could see Hope maybe getting in as well but I'm not sure how many characters from each game will get in.

Paine
Rikku
Yuna
Fran
Serah

I'd even like Lulu so who knows but I'm sure Yuna is gonna to get in at least.

Lightning is long in but no way for Hope and Vanille since they aren't the main protagonists. Caius will very likely be the second (and final) FFXIII saga character making it in because Lightning needs a foe.

Yeah, no way.... XD I want Prompto and Gladio in...but also no way. XD

It'll be Noctis and Ardyn or Ravus or Glauca (if he survived).

No way to who?

I could see Serah being playable since she's a protagonist and Yuna too. The others sure are probably not gonna get in but they would be great in it.

Lightning was literally one of the first characters to be announced
I didn't pay attention, she's not one of my personal favorite characters, Hope, Vanille, and I GUESS Snow are really the only characters from that installment I liked. XD

Hope and vanille may not be in, but hey I have Noctis, that ice lady, Tidus, that one guy with the ponytail and ahoge, Ace, Cloud...and uh, whoever else I like in the future. XD
