You just don't know how strong Hitomi is. Sure, her speed is average but once you figure out how to use her probably you'll realize that she's deadly.I'm so sick of losing with Hitomi against cheap and horrid players who know no better than mash unsafe high P strings and still get way with it.
Something is off with her frames, her fastest mid is 13 frames and beyond that she doesn't have any fastest move to answer with (relatively speaking, her move will lose based on frames in most cases) except for the one high punch she has that is useless unless used with string since people in front of you can mash out in between the first P and the third which is 18 FRAMES ?
How are you supposed to play against fast characters with Hitomi? it's impossible she is fu***** useless against any kasumi, christie, jann lee...
I got out of matches against these types of character, I've played safe and tried various things, from fast pokes to long range attacks, in most cases like I said, her moves will lose against their mashing and there is nothing you can do about it.
Try fighting Jann Lee with Hitomi and tell me that this isn't unbalanced, unless you mix it up and play around counter-throw holds game, then you will lose against the dumbest masher because that's the problem with Hitomi, her mid Punches will not save you against mashers, all you can do is being a little risky and go for low punches but then you would lose against any mid strikes since her low punches are 14 FRAMES and 15 FRAMES ( for
1P)
So in Jann Lee case for instance, you can have somebody putting you into that low P, high kick mix-up+ sit down (guaranteed and no hold is possible) and Hitomi has no viable answer once he starts mashing out high punches even when you guard.
maybe you can sidestep, but sometimes you can fail it and get hit on counter or get hit by a tracking move.
With Christie it's even worse, you can get rushed with simple mid punches/low kick mix-ups.
What the **** is this?
And on top of that last patch they didn't find any better than buff f****** CHRISTIE?
Team Ninja, stop screwing around, CAN WE HAVE A BUFF FOR HITOMI ?
THANKS
The biggest mistake people make is trying to play her like the rest of the cast. One thing people also forget is that string delays can also be considered a sort of mix-up, and Hitomi is a master at this. She's likely the most mix-up heavy character in the game and her string delays are crazy. It's a disadvantage to have very few guaranteed stuff, but arguably, with so many mix-ups, you won't really need it, IF you know what you're doing.
Alpha pressures by pure speed and range. She only defense is her offense lol. Hitomi is more balanced since she can defend quite well as well. Zack, well, yes, he's better than Hitomi at offense, particularly his grabs, and he has a stance, but he has an inferior defense compared to Hitomi as well.
Yeah good point. She does have her parries. Very risky for her to use them though. A wrong parry is a counter hit, and she's so light, that the opponent can get quite a nice juggle from a not so deep stun. Aside from that, her holds simply teleport her away. No damage.
By comparison, land one advanced mid kick hold with Hitomi and look at the possible damage.
You just don't know how strong Hitomi is. Sure, her speed is average but once you figure out how to use her probably you'll realize that she's deadly.
I know how to use her properly, and most top players will tell you the same thing. She's below average with very little threat. The only thing she stands out with is whiff punishment and the wall game, both of which are only slightly above average compared to the rest of the cast. Her wall damage is really the only big threat, but that's not much given that she's very easy to defend against.
All it takes is to improve your fundamentals, go into traning mode and study her. She has a 7 frame throw that is +10....yeah your probably thinking, "+10?? Hahaha! That ain't shit" But frame advantage isn't the only relevant thing about this move because it puts her opponents in 50/50 guessing situation, give her ability to destroy players who love pushing buttions and if they decide to sidestep then she can hit these fools with tracking moves like 6H+K, H+K, 46K, 2H+K and 4P.
Oh not to mention 46P and 6H+K, 6P+K, 33P are guaranteed after 46K! (you can slow her BT combos except 46P)
It also puts you in a 50/50.....That's not exactly a good thing.....Actually its even worse than a 50/50 if you're opponent is half decent and knows how to fuzzy guard. I've never seen a game where +10 puts you at such a terrible disadvantage and throws a big guessing game at your face.
Mix ups- I don't feel like typing about them but I will tell you this.........they are NASTY. That is all.
No they arn't. Her strings are not varied at all and extremely predictable.
Movement- She has one of the best speed movement in the game.
Whiff punishment- She can stay in her neutral position which force opponents to figure out how to get close in a smart way and to top it all off she can significantly Korean back dash quick!
This is the only strong point she has, and she's still really only average at it. She out paces the slow characters but the faster characters are still way better at spacing/whiff punishment than her. She's also limited to easily read mids.
