Famitsu has announced that one of the two new characters is the Dead or Alive boss Raidou. He has been altered for his appearance in Last Round. His body has been augmented to cybernetic technology. He's not the same ninja he used to be, but Raidou displays a big build, electric moves and a cyborg body. If you thought he looked evil before... just look at him now. A menacing face, a darker tone, and the cyborg attributes really add an even scarier aspect to the Dead or Alive boss.

His story is as follows:

After being killed by an explosion during the First
Dead or Alive Tournament, Raidou was pieced back together,
outfitted with cybernetic parts, and brought back to life by
Donovan. As a side effect he has lost all memories of his past,
and retains only his natural lust for power.

Fighting Style:
Raidou's fighting style is Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu at its core,
but he builds upon this with techniques he has stolen from
various fighters. Unlike fellow Mugen Tenshin Ninjutsu practitioners
Kasumi and Hayate, he favors moves that make the most of his size and power.
He has also developed some techniques of his own,
such as Tengeki-Gorai-Sho and Rekku-Jinraisatsu.

Additionally, the release showed a screenshot between Kasumi and Raidou. Some may recognize Kasumi's new outfit.

Raidou is the older brother of Kasumi's father Shiden, and biological father to Ayane. Known for being a copy-cat character, the exiled ninja ambushed the Mugen-Tenshin clan to steal their special technique: the Torn Sky Blast.

Just like from what they have said before... the brand new female character will be "the biggest" and made from a scratch. Aside from having a huge breast she might have a barbarian Amazonian body built. A heavyweight tier, so basically it won't be Miyako.

I'm not sure about her being heavyweight: it's just an hypothesis but so far I don't think that it would be so wrong to believe that the new female character will get the opposite features of Raidou for a matter of addition variety.

Figured I'd analyze the trailer to see what moves were shown off that Raidou looks like he's stolen. Forgive me if I get inputs wrong as I'm not 100% knowledgeable on all character's move notations:

Rachel's (The one that Guard Breaks at -1)

Gen Fu's on mid punches
Gen Fu's on high punches
Bass' string with a unique animation (may be another character's?)
Kasumi's old

Unique Kick attack (?)
Unique Punch attack (almost like Hayate's )

Punch launcher (I want to say it's Leon's?)
Hayabusa's with an ender to that Unique Punch attack
Leon's (choke throw) but throws the opponent behind him.

Here's my observation:
I don't think he has Rachel's . In the trailer, they did with a slight pause into , but it looked like a string because the move is fast.

is Gen Fu's and been like that since DOA1 (was natural combo on counter hit and crouching). I'm kinda surprised they didn't really change this.

looks unique now. It used to be Gen Fu's, but this one looks like a mix between Gen's and Busa's.

Choke throw is actually his tier 1 OH (), but I hope they give him more throws so that could be a throw now.

Rachel is strong and on the thick side, not outright muscular. I'm talkin body builder buff.

 

I just want to know how his raging storm feels in terms of input. He seems to be hard to use without proper throws, so it's mostly strikes and OH. It's understandable I suppose. He's a boss character and meant to be played super aggressive with high damage.

 

I really hope that the new female fighter is neither chubby nor muscular! I want her to be beautiful, just like the rest of the girls.

I'd be down for a girl with a decently muscled tone, however that's me. Tina was sexier as Wrestler with a 6 pack for me. Made her seem slightly convincing these characters do in fact what they say they do (or show).

Actually, that would ruin her realism for me, just as all the other characters with 6packs. That just ain't even healthy. Why 6-packs are dangerous.
