Haters are gonna hate

Wow the new girl is awesome. I never liked Tengu so I'm glad he is done and we have this new girl now. Love her design, especially her eyes

Also she is only 18 (1018) ? Wow she seems way more mature then that

I'll be getting Phase 4 and Nyo-Tengu the day they release.

The detail is commendable, I'll give you that. It fleshes her character well, I'm just a bit awkward around it, that all lol

I noticed the leggings looked the same and they both have shulder straps/braces. That contest design was a lot more black and gray, IIRC. I guess this could just be Team Ninjas take on it - though Im not sure if the original artist would be happy with the significant differences.

Just the stockings are similar and everyone else is wearing (denim) overalls too...
I wonder, if this is a perfectly plausible coincidence or if they really were inspired by the costume contest, taking just parts here and there, that they like. :/

I guess they didn't want to completely use the same design, but add their own spin to the design. I like it.

Banko is 1500 years old, Lady Tengu isn't even remotely 18.

i can understand this kind of women are not your type. But "overly sexualized"? Come on, the whole DoA cast is over sexualized (women, i mean). Just look the new DLC pack they have announced... Ayane, Phase-4 and Mila are not overly sexualized? I think you just don't like hard girls like this new Tengu, Rachel, etc, what is legitimate. But don't say the "others" girls are not sexualized. They look like porn stars the same as Rachel or Tina, but a bit more young and innocent.

The only thing not over sexualized here are men.

I do believe, these costumes were already made or in the planning, when the costume contest was running just a few months ago. I also think, the plan was designing denim overalls for all the girls plus adding something character specific to it. Like the basecap for Mila, the cowboy hat for Tina, the panda design for Leifang...and for Marie Rose, the first thing coming to my mind, were some cute stockings as well. It's just a coincidence. Axel, the designer of the Marie Rose design for the contest, thinks so too.
