Pretty sure that article is fake...For those who don't know, its called satire.
Japan, one of the world's biggest gaming markets, is not on the list of 21 regions Microsoft says will get the Xbox One this year. Although Microsoft has struggled to make an impact in the country, the Xbox 360 did gain a small following among hardcore Japanese gamers, who would be the most inclined to take special measures to play the system ahead of a local release. With Asian countries unlikely to see the Xbox One until late 2014, gamers in the region may face a long wait with no recourse.
Fixed.That sucks... not really.
Who needs an Xbox One when you gotta PC?
I agree, I was particularly giving the Xbox One/PC equation to denote the vastly similar DRM policies and restrictions on used/lending/trading games as a joke (which the Xbox One pretty much is). M$ has forgotten the main reasons why gamers buy consoles. The PC isn't the quintessential gaming system. I own all 3 systems at the moment (PS3, Xbox 360, and a fairly powerful PC) and while the PC may have a lot of nice things about it, the inability to just lie on your bed/couch and not have to worry about how you're sitting can be a pretty nice thing. Every system has something nice about it xD just depends on what you want to do at any given time.
Dayum.

So you're saying you can lie on your couch and your mouse works perfectly and your keyboard doesn't slide? Or do you just mean "sit" at your couch. I'm referring to just lying down.
In fairness, GDDR5 was fairly expensive back in 2012 compared to now. Sony just had the foresight to bank on it getting cheaper as time went by.lol that's hilarious. So in order to save production cost they go with slower memory (and slower clock speed to stop over heating) and use esram to function in unison to help compensate for slower ram but the difficulties in production actually made it cost more in the long run...lmao So now they have inferior hardware and spending more to produce it and have hardware in a next gen cycle be out of date within 2 years. Should of stuck with gddr5 MS lol.

Most likely they were thinking that GDDR5 was to graphics focused for a system that focuses more on just video and multimedia. It's pretty common for hardware to get cheaper over time. I don't think MS didn't have to foresight to see that. I just think they believed their method would ultimately save them money on production, and if they didn't run into issues with heating and running the esram with the gddr it probably would have saved them money. You would just think that their engineers would of seen these problems sooner and risked the gddr5 instead.
