You may as well just post your idea. You should create your own thread with your idea and gather interest that way. I think it'd be more efficient and even if you don't know everything, you could post what you do have and everyone could contribute by filling in the blanks and whatnot.
As much as I love the idea of sharing info and making a thread so everyone can help, I have had a few horrible experiences with this in other forums where a person from the same forum beat me to a topic i was working hard on and produced a half assed video just a few days before mine on the same topic. now although my video was more detailed and covered more grounds than that guy can possibly think of (in addition to producing never before seen material as well), it still bugged me especially since the guy was acting like he was helping out and my video was more or less at 70% needing nothing but a few teaks. so you can understand why I would rather keep the majority of the work and content to myself.
Now, although I've been playing DOA since the bouncey JP sega saturn days, I never really went into the depths of the system mechanics. SF4 on the other hand was a different story, I know how that game's engine runs like the back of my hand and have found many exploits on several occasions as well as produced character specific content which has been front paged on SRK and eventhubs on several occasions.
(here are a few examples so you know that I'm not just talking out of my ass)

with DOA5 coming out, I want to take this game alot more seriously, and thanks to this forum (particularly VirtuaPAI's write ups among other content) this is possible. But I also wish to share this knowledge to the rest of the FGC and show how great fun (and deep) it is to play DOA5 when you know what you're doing (as opposed to a certain ignorant reviewer that said the game had no depth because he had no clue what to do ... >__> ).
my only issue is this, although I do have enough experience and reference material to Produce what i want to, there are a few (minor) situations where I know I dont have the vast enough experience to cover. at the same time, as thorough and in depth as VirtuaPAI's writeups are, they can be quite hard to understand for a new player that is trying to get into the game. My idea is to make that content simpler and easier to grasp for the average joe to understand and adapt to the game's engine... because lets face it, when it comes to DOA .. the majority of the FGC has no clue how the hell it works and you can clearly see that from that last review (this also includes players from other 3d games such as SC and tekken and not just the 2D fighters)
basicly this is how I plan to expose the game. and hopefully in a positive way that would allow players from other fighters to have constructive criticism on how it works. and not just look at it as "tit fighter 5" ..
the layout of what I want to do is more or less in my head right now, still need to refine it on paper and then start recording (this will take a bit of time but hopefully not too long). although, I do have a question or 2...
I will send you and DrDogg a PM and have a 3 way discussion on the matter if thats ok with both of you, as well as keep it open if any other technical questions arise. I hope this is ok.
one more thing .. during the recording of the last vid you will notice that the quality has changed from part 2 onward. this is because i have a new capture device now (HD PVR) as opposed to a camcorder on the table while hearing me slamming my arcade stick. so hopefully all the DOA5 content will also be in much better quality than my previous work (which is something I am personally looking forward to

)
