How is DoA5U Costume DLC gonna work?

When DoA5U comes out, are they gonna release any DLC costume bundles?

I personally don't care about the new Good Girls, Bad Girls, and J-Pop type costumes. It isn't too appealing to me.

However will the old costumes still be in there? Do we still need to buy DLC or are all the costumes free now? I bought a lot of costumes for DoA5 but I want to know if I can still use these for DoA5.

All the DLC you bought for DoA5 will work with DoA5U, however packs 1(First Time), 2(What A Character, Kitty Pack & Special Set 1), 4(the bunnies only and their recolours), 5(Formal Pack, China Pack & Special Set 3) and 9(Fighter's Pack) are included on disc for 5U so if you didn't buy any of these you get these free with 5U.

Also they probably will still have more costume DLC it's TN after all and they will still be like 1200MSP

lol so i get those stupid schoolgirl costumes for free.:p Thanks TN for giving shit i hate.

I don't think the School Girls Pack, Gym Class Packs and Special Set Pack 3 are listed as the ones becoming on-discs unless you bought them on 5 which can be transferred for 5U.

Tbh it seems like you secretly do like them since they obviously weren't listed above as ones included and you specifically said something about them out of no where. ;)

As for future dlc packs I believe the guy at E3 asked if they'd be making future dlc and they said "perhaps to add longevity to the game" which I interpret as "yes we will be making lots more bikinis"

So far it's pretty much certain the preorder outfits will hit the xbox and psn stores eventually. I assume the Japanese CE stuff will too. They already made the outfits, why not put them up for sale to get more money?

Exactly. I'm sure we'll have all of those within the first few months. Whether or not we get any other DLC is anyone's guess though, but I'd certainly assume we will. They have new characters to make make money off of costume packs with. Especially since two of those new characters are females who will likely get some more bikinis.

yeah, they'll probably do a swimwear pack for the new characters which adds another swimsuit to the JP CE ones for Momiji and Rachel and give Jacky, Leon and Ein the fighters costumes for the lady and gaymer fans.

But seriously hope they do another classic set like DoA5 did which has some more costumes from DoA1 - 4 for existing and returning characters.

There's a very good chance that you'll be able to purchase DLC outfits individually from now on. They did that with the cheerleader DLC and with the F2P version it wouldn't make sense to buy an outfit bundle if you only have 1 or 2 characters from that set that are playable.

Good point, it would be retarded to keep selling only bundles with the F2P model. In TR you buy individual costumes... but if you thought DOA was a ripoff, Namco is charging $5 per bikini and they're not even new.

I do hope so even if I'll buy the actual copy. At least I would just get the ones that I'd like without the need to purchase the rest.

Wtf?! Woowww...good thing I don't have a PS3 so I couldn't be tempted into downloading TR. lol. I'll stick with the free bikini bundle in TTT2.

Wait, so I saw Kasumi in a cheerleader costume. Is this a DoA5+ (Vita) costume only? Will it come to PS3?

What about the costumes that were released on the Vita exclusives, are they going to be coming to PS3 DoA5U consoles as well?

You can download it now if you'd like on PSN it's been out for some time.

The only Vita exclusives were the cheerleader outfits, the paradise swimsuits (which you still needed to buy), and the training dummy outfits for the 4 ninjas. You'll get the training dummy outfits free on-disc for ultimate but you would still need to buy the other outfits.

That would be the best thing like... ever. Makes sense, but we'll just have to see.
