DOA: Your Favorite Scenes

Despite the series being touted as having a story that lacks depth there have been many intros/cutscenes/endings that I've enjoyed. Feel free to share some of your favorites (it can be from any DOA game including the Xtremes). Here's a few of mine (videos and/or pics are welcome)

DOA 2: Kasumi's 2nd Round Cutscene (Vs. Kasumi Alpha)

I'm referring specifically to the original DOA2 scene in Demon's Church not the updated one where they're in the lab and Alpha's laugh was changed. It was creepy and always fascinated me as a little kid when I saw that scene on the demo version.

DOA 4: Helena's Ending
This one's pretty self-explanatory. Epic CGI, epic explosions, Aerosmith, the song sums it up pretty well: "It's Amazing"


DOA 4: Eliot's 7th Round Cutscene (Vs. Christie)
@4:42 Definitely my favorite Eliot scene. Could never figure out how Christie descends onto the stage like that and when she laughs at him and he puts his hands on his hips I always lol'ed.

DOA 3: Ryu's 6th Round Cutscene (Vs. Hayate)
@3:59 "Since when have you grown more powerful than me, Hayate?" I don't care who really won that fight (Dimensions leads you to believe that Hayabusa used Kawarimi to trick Hayate at the end) but I'll always remember it as Ryu kicking Hayate's ass. :cool:

DOA 4: Jann Lee 4th Round Cutscene (Vs. Hitomi)

I can honestly say this was the only time I've ever seen a t-rex defeated by a JKD master (about as close to Chuck Norris as you can get). Hitomi had just witnessed a legend being born and she chose to fight him instead (why Hitomi why?)

This is what makes Lisa more likable back then compared to her double agent status right now. Lisa's entrance in the ring was just explosive literally. 3 big ass wrestlers got owned by one girl (Tina didn't helped) and when one of them stood up and swipe off Lisa's mask, she used a German Supplex on him.


Skateboarding in heels? Impossible? Illogical? No. Tina done it. She also shattered some windows.

Funny enough, most of the side-characters actually had better segments in DOA5 than in past games, but the story-central characters got shafted with starring in an absolute borefest.

For example, Tina/Bass segments actually add a lot more to their character in DOA5 than past games did, but the ninjas and Helena just act like cardboard cut-outs doing nothing. It's quite sad.

Agreed and I understand it's not just about Helena and the ninjas but let's face it that is the main plot. I just wish they could have involved more characters into it.

For example Kokoro could have snuck into DOATEC to learn more about Helena and (naively) joined forces with Christie.

Lisa could have reached out to TIna for help (she could have finally left DOATEC) to stop their plans and the 2 could have tag teamed when infiltrating the corporation.

So many possibilities....(at least in my mind. lol)

But then they would have made the side characters lame like they did with the main ones. :p

I imagine cyborg Lisa by DOA6 if ever her body was alive and retrieved.

I think Kokoro would defy her mom by that time too after knowing more about Helena and their father.

Valid point is valid. Can't argue with that. ha ha. Well let's just hope that they work harder in DOA 6 so that we can have scenes like this again:

lol but Lisa didn't die?!? I thought it was one of those "we led you to believe [insert character name] has died but they miraculously managed to escape and survive" kind of thing.

It would be more believable if DOA6 waited for her recovery like maybe say, another 2 year time skip.

The DOA2U opening was so good that everytime I listen to Dream On, I end up hearing the DOA voices in my head during the opening's queues.

Also, most people get confused by DOA5's story due to the timeline playing out by character instead of in chronological order; then they forget that DOAD's story was in chronological order and they got slammed with reviews for the story mode making you jump from character to character without any explanation - just as you were getting the feel for the character.
