Holds Out Of Stun VS Marvel 3 Counter Exchange

As someone who plays UMVC3 a LOT I'll say this, I ONLY TAC when I notice my opponent starts getting annoyed by my tactics and basically "let's go" of his controller.

Basically, when they feel they're just gonna watch a long combo with their mouth open. I can get away with this A LOT on lesser players, but high level players are looking for it.

As stated, it's a high risk high reward situation that you don't really have to put yourself in.

What's high risk about it?

Maybe I said that poorly.

Well, say for example your trying to switch out a character with low life mid combo, if the opponent counters it you both reset, however if the other player has a Hyper that can chip you to death for example, your kinda screwed.

So I guess it depends on the situation. Hope that makes sense.

Except isn't Marvel vs. Capcom a game where the system is purposely broken?

Brokenley Delicious, but yes, yes it is.

The unwritten rule of finding the right combination of character with cheap/broken tactics and exploiting it. Still can't understand why people would come to blows over it, for example:

The only character that really suffers is Hsien Ko, which is kinda sad.

Like that's gonna stop me from using the character.

I suffered with Christie too, and people used to call me weird for that.

Shimbori is a fan of game theory, I can't imagine he would be super opposed to something like that.
Probably afraid of alienating all the scrubby players who are used to being able to get out of every scenario scot-free.

It's Marvel tradition, especially when you consider that a good number of players are from the ghetto and the series has a history of high stakes money matches (highest recorded amount was about $40,000).
