I wasn't silent at all before or after the first combine either. Perhaps you forgot the incident where I was banned from doacentral for calling out the PMS clan leader on her shady bullshit? In fact multiple people kept trying to convince me to tone down the act. You have a very selective memory on this. I didn't start "chilling out" until after CGS 2 was done with and I'd moved down to Baltimore.
I was indeed pretty drunk, I assure you there are witnesses with stories. if you're trying to insinuated I wasn't then you just defeated your own claim of my not having courage because the rant still happened. but you know what they say, a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts. I made the choice to get drunk and say what I did, fully aware of the potential consequences. I had no reason to believe there wouldn't be a season 3, so it's not like there was zero danger involved in saying it. It is what it is.
I had poor performance that year. mamba, master, jared, swoozie, dave and offbeat all did better than me. And better than everyone else, for that matter. What reason did I have to complain on my own behalf or anyone elses? I could have raised issue with all kinds of nonsense on how I think I was better overall than dave, jared and swoozie, but what was the point? I got my ass kicked. It would be bad form, so i left it alone. I didn't see anyone else complaining either.
Frankly, no one else who was present really deserved to be in those positions either, so why raise a stink on their behalf? The second year was different. People were performing far differently. Taikou, Rabies and myself each had a valid claim to make.

Fact: Swoozie was on CGI, CGS and WCG. Swoozie is an avid DOA player and claims it. Hes also a very popular youtube personality with close to 200k subscribers with original content that averages 300k views - and some have even broken well into the millions.
Fact: Vanessa was on CGI, CGS and WCG. She was the first female drafted back in 07 and she was dominant through two seasons of the show. She is still, to this day, an avid DOA player.
Fact: Chosen1 was on WCG and he had killer sideburns at the time.
Fact: Master won both CGI events, was on CGS and placed at evo in addition to the other various events hes won. Of the elite players, hes the most active when it comes to posting new, original DOA content (Tutorials, match video, stories) and he hosts the longest running annual DOA tournament series in the community.
Fact: Perfect Legend won Evo, he was on CGI, he was on CGS. He was probably the most vocal person in the community when it came to new ideas on how to spur growth in the competitive community. . .he also entertained me with new bi-weekly tier lists for what seemed like years - That shit used to get my goat.
Fact: Perfect Legend got snowed in.
Getting drunk and going on a rant is like getting drunk and sleeping with a fat chick - you may have ended up liking it but the fact is you still have to pour liquor down your throat to get the courage to do it.
Me, I bang fat chicks on the sabbath and I spotlight bullshit sober.

FACT: CGI/CGS/WCGUG are not legit and have nothing to do with accomplishments made as DOA players.
FACT: They were all given additional opportunities solely based on fake accomplishments. PL was ironically the only one who had actually accomplished anything on that trip, and mamba/offbeat were never even contacted for it.
FACT: Tecmo had no idea where to find the DOA community as of DOAD and was going off of bullshit television leads, even though doacentral had been in contact with the company for over a decade and was even linked on their official website.
FACT: Whether by corporate incompetence or backdoor politics, Master and his crew continue to get opportunities they never earned.
FACT: Master has never tried to rectify this. That makes him a dishonest man.
Also, Dave Geffon called me like a week or two afterwards and asked me to explain myself, so I did. I asked him to explain himself, so he did. We both calmed down a bit, but neither of us backed off our positions.

I never personally benefited from anything Manny did. Any perks I got I typically took for myself because I was working directly with people involved or was friends with someone else. As for personally attacking him, I considered him a friend for quite some time and even still respect him on a personal level, so it doesn't really make sense for me to attack the guy. I don't see the point because I don't stand to gain or lose anything by doing so. Doesn't mean I don't call him on BS when I see it and he knows that's my personality. I don't clash with Manny because we know each other reasonably well, to be blunt.
A lot can be said about me, personally; especially from several years ago. Most of it will involve me being a prick, or an asshole, or selfish or whatever. While that's all going to change depending on perspectives of the people being asked, I don't think it could ever be said that I sucked up to anyone or schmoozed anyone. I'd love to hear an example if I'm wrong.
Honestly, Julius (and you can't dodge that name, try as you might) you're just drama-mongering for the sake of it. You will never gain anything by backing the guy and we've all seen you trash on just about everyone in the community at one point or another. You're about as stable a character as a paranoid schizophrenic who missed his meds for the day. You come off like an opportunist, which is fine, but you've pulled such a complete character change that nobody really gives a shit what you think beyond laughing when you say something humorous. At the very least, myself, Rikuto, and hell even Manny have just been ourselves the whole time. That's more than you can say.

I'm certain I've always been the same guy I am today. This isn't the first long form debate I've had during my time as a part of this community. I remember when I came into the community, back in 06, and hosted a tournament that went awry I ended up having a debate with many of the a-holes who made it such a miserable experience - and I still paid the winners. Even sent XDest to WCG instead of giving him the arcade stick, just to help smooth things over.
You remember all of the funny and fucked up things I said and did but there was always rationality peppered in. I went about getting my point across in extreme ways but I always stood up for what i believed in - what was right and what was fair. Ya know Morris walked up to me during the CGS draft and said "Ya know, people are talking about you around here, you might get drafted as a back up."
I told him, "No thanks, tell em don't pick me." Do you know why I told him that? Because I didn't earn it - go fact check that kid.
And when I used the word "you" I was talking to everyone which is why in the next to last line I used the phrase "You people".
Master has nothing that I want: Once upon a time I wanted to be a pro-gamer but that was the past, life didn't stop for me at 19. There is no real future in what hes doing - no 401k's, no health care package, no vacation days and no retirement plan for being the DOA poster boy. I came out on his side because I respect what hes done and I'm disgusted by the double standard of people who stuffed their convictions up their assholes for the chance to be famous - who are now coming back salty at the guy who's done the most for them.
I'm an opportunist - I relish the opportunity to get the facts straight and call people on their bullshit.
I like to make dirty jokes, I like to tell funny stories and I like being a nice guy - but when you start pretending to be something you're not or pushing facts around to suit your own arguments, there I be.
And you can say you've always been the same person but money and lack there of changes people - we both know that.
I was referring to your running joke that you don't know who Julius Rage is. You've cracked it a few times, here and other places in the past. But that wasn't really important. My point is that before I left DoAC you never had a word of praise for anyone that wasn't yourself and here you are now white-knighting a guy for no discernible reason beyond debate. I can respect that but I don't see your stake in this at all; calling people on double-standards and whatnot is bullshit and you know it because Rikuto has NEVER changed his stance on any of this stuff.

Most of the things you just said I can respect and honestly I don't need to reply to any of it. But the crux of this thread for some time has been you overlooking arguments and points that were detrimental to your own, salient or not. People have repeatedly pointed this out to you and you've ignored them. You can say it's because you don't have any respect for them, but it's making you look dodgy to everyone in here.
Your last point seemed directed at me, so I'll just say this: no shit. People without money do things out of character to try to get it or at least help. If that's what you meant, then whatever. People fall on hard times and do whatever they can to get out of it. Eventually I did. I don't think I've changed in any meaningful way at any point that I've been apart of the DoA community other than exercising a bit more restraint since I've started posting again. Moving on.
