This will never happen but, even if they didn't bring back the old lobby system, I would like the rank Zack cash to come back from ranked matches. They implement the real zack island mode. This would be your duper casual, online chatting lobby/resort. You could play volleyball, watch replays, and customize your resort space. It would be something like SF4 online private room where you can watch replays. The old avatars can be brought back or they could use our silly xbox avatars.
I know it's casual, but that would rein in players even if just to enjoy the environment. I miss sitting in lobbies watching people play and wanting to rank up to get a big screen tv. I got better at the game to get a better looking lobby... not for competition sake @_@
I remembered why I was a little underwhelmed with 5. They had 3 VF characters that I couldn't see fitting in the game nor did they do much with and only a single new DoA character. Thought that was shady. Those were spots reserved for characters that didn't make it in the game in the DoA series (Tengu, Raidou,... Leon... and Ein in vanilla at least?) or some more new blood. What about a temptress for Leon? What about Mr. Strong's rival (they do nothing with Bass' involvement in DoA though I like the attempt with the oil rig)?) What about another ALPHA character that was a 'random select' on every round (would morph into a copy or something) just for random lols?
From my understanding, the DoA story is mostly about the ninjas doing stuff, Jann Lee being awesome, some Donavon type issues with Helena, Christie, Lisa, and Bayman, (with Rig entering the scene), and Days of our Lives for the rest of the cast. While playing the story, I wasn't motivated to finishing Story mode in 5 at all and found too many people that haven't even attempted it. Just seemed like a throw-away mode never to be visited upon completion.
