    Agree. It was a stupid mistake not to have them. Of course it would have required more time and we know that had time issues to finish everything (hence the cut content), but it's a bad marketing move from them. Now we'll have to wait one year to have Momiji, Rachel, Leon (and maybe Gen Fu) back, when we could have had fresh newcomers to give more visibility to this dying game.
    Oh, and Mai and Kula are boring AF.

    I don’t want Gen fu back, honestly barely anybody played him. Besides, Eliot already inherited his style, i’d Rather see someone new and refreshing instead of the same characters over and over again just so people don’t lose their mains.
    What are the actual chances that the "popular male character" refered in Mai's and Kula's is Ryo (Shenmue) ? I could totally see Team Ninja rip off Akira's moveset and make him easier, more casual friendly. Kokoro would fall in love.

    It's pretty vague since there are many "popular male characters". Even Kiryu is more popular than Ryo. As KasumiLover mentioned, could also be a placeholder temporarily for male guests. "Mister" could also refer to anyone at an age for adults and Ryo doesn't really fit it (not entirely I guess).

    Would be interesting to see TN get an "actual" spiritual successor of Akira that's roughly the same impact since Akira is super popular in the competitive format (people get excited at an event whenever his attacks land) despite somewhat average casual appeal (blame Sega for that).

    Though if you take spiritual successor, there was a reason why Akira's moves was hard (gameplay rewards). Part of character design.

    That's why a cazualized rip off could be a smart move (or an insult on the real Akira fans maybe) for a male DLC. His fighting style is legendary and Shenmue's incoming remake would make it fresh and give visibility to DOA.
    Crazy fanservice ideas for Season Pass 2 :
    - free tag mode & tag Beach stage
    - core values DLC bikinis for everyone
    - Momiji & Gen Fu (+ tag throw + story cameo of Sanji and Mei Lin training together)
    - Rachel & Leon (+ tag throw + story teaser of the revival of Alma 152/Lauren 152)
    - Maria Douglas 152 & free Great Opera
    Not even a Mai/Kula fan here, but why no KOF costumes for the whole cast ? Feels like a huge missing opportunity. Not sure how collabs work though. I'm missing something.

    They probably can't afford/didn't have the go fo it, Kula and Mai probably was the most they could do since even in DOA5LR with the KOF they could only get 3 costume types for like 6 girls

    After 7 years, several installments (DOA5, DOA5U, DOA5LR, DOA6), I have finally executed Hayate's Raijin Throw... by mistake. No idea what went different this time...
    I can't think of a DOA6 character who lacks individuality and flashiness. Everyone is just so well designed and unique. I think more moved would be very welcomed though. The content might be limited, but I'm not bored at all by the roster.

    The characters do have individuality, and the roster is unique in the confines of character design of the OGs. The OGs had references to pop culture while feeling unique. In the realm of competitive viability in DoA6, it is more about picking characters that do X thing better than Y character(s) thus it isn't entirely unique. Like SFV all over again. In every aspect, minus holds.

    @DestructionBomb VF has the issue of similar movesets amongst characters only when the characters are related by blood, (Lau & Pai, Jacky & Sarah) Some inherenting old move sets like Brad is old Vanessa. Kung Fu has sholders. Only diff character same moves are Goh, Akira, Lau 46P 14F punish.

    Not counting, Jab, elbow, 2P. That's more like Tekken's universal, D1, D2, D3, D4 if characters don't have a useful move to replace its utility. Those moves are like how DoA, everyone has basic counters, and neutral throws are techable. For legacy purposes more so. Same with 10 hits being not too viable depending on character. Same with MK's jump attacks, uppercut.
    Can the parts from DLC pack (pirate's eye patch, hat, wedding's accessories) be used for DOA Central on other costumes ?
    I hate Eliot's (hold) 3P and Hayate's (hold) 3PP. It's not working for me...

    Yeah, they're silly inputs. Doesn't help that they have similar moves when the input doesn't come out right. All I can say is buffer the (3) a bit before the FC move will come out. Hayate's Combo Challenge 13 IIRC is complete bullshit with the FC 3PP juggle filler.

    Now there is still the raijin throw that I cannot even perform for command training (never succeeded in DOA5). Ewwww...

    I personally am pretty much done with the game. I haven't touched it in a week, I realized. They made so many awful choices, most recently their scammy DLC practices in the West. Me not being able to buy the DLC I want means me not buying any DLC, means me not coming back regularly to the game. I'm basically just here in the forum to hang out with you guys. :/

    I can't really relate to DLC being a deciding factor of playing a game or not since I never buy DLC.

    Considering that none of DOA's DLC is ever mandatory and is completely optional, it should not be a deciding factor with regards to purchasing or playing a game. And yeah, forums in general are dying a bit with regards to FG discussion thanks to Discord.
    I was hoping they would get rid of Eliot's stupid relauncher (3P). His combo challenge has never been fun for me.

    I have no idea what NiCO is talking about in DOA Quest (regarding Diego) : "Such clear brain activity [...] The effect of control by another party? The data doesn't show whether he is aware of if or not".
    TN can't possibly re-sell old DLC costumes for DOA6, right ? People are gonna cry if that ever happens.
    Some characters have two ground strikes (punch and kick), some have no special wake-up animations. Why?

    Depends on the personality of the character/martial art, I suppose. Like wrestlers attack people on the ground with dropping elbows and stomp. Others could also have had a kick but instead, probably was conceptualized as a more useful low attack. In VF, we call them, "Beatdown moves" and 8P+K on a grounded opponent is a "Pounce"
    This "pseudo customisation" in DOA Central is frustrating. Like you cannot even use headpieces from DLC costumes. WTF!
