I've only watched a small portion of the Day 1 stream so far, but I think it was said these rounds of pool play are single-elim (with the Top 2 of each of the 4 pools advancing) ... whereas the Top 8 section is double-elim. In that case, Kayane would need to go undefeated through pools in order to advance, so for her AND Chosen1 to advance (if they're indeed in the same pool), they'd need to have been seeded on opposite ends of the bracket to keep from having one have to go through the other.
NOTE: If this was changed/clarified later, then disregard what I said.
If Rikuto was a school teacher, it would be a slasher film.

I was in and out watching the footage yesterday, but from what I did see? Rikuto's commentary definitely was appreciated.
I do agree that it would be nice to see Dr.Dogg get up there too, but I guess I'll have to take what I can get.

Watching those matches made me realise asking for the option to turn off pause during matches might have been a good idea. But it's not normally a problem with people who play regularly so it's no big deal.
Man, seriously loving the new Hitomi. She still has a bit of a ghetto booty, but I'm far from disappointed, I'm amazed and happy they changed as much as they did. Also, Hayate seems to have lost the deep shadows under his eyes too (from my memory of the alpha Hayate anyway). Not so much a crack dealer anymore. I like that they included some kind of humour in the costuming but not so much love for the clown aesthetic, seems random and it's ugly. All the other characters so far look great too. Wish somebody played Kokoro or Bayman at some point.
Good fun to watch though, gg to the commentators.

So does the loser of the finals of each pool move on to the finals tomorrow? I believe the winner of the previous pools are Swoozie, Vanessa, and BlackMamba. But there are supposed to be 8 people in the finals so does that mean the people they beat in the finals will be there as well?
What's the notation for Tina's air-throw?

Nevermind, I got my answer. The losers make it to top 8 but the winners get better seeding. So it's Swoozie, Vanessa, Master, BlackMamba, Kayane, Chosen1, Jovany Zuniga, and DYoshi

The song is ok. Although, the title of the song does sound misleading (I keep on thinking it has to do something with Guilty Gear lool). I think the song COULD work.

I don't like the song, not even a little. As far as lyrics go, he referenced being a nightmare but he got his horror monsters mixed up. Jason is Friday the 13th not Freddy Kruger; Freddy Kruger was at any given time when you were sleep. It also sounds like he is saying, 'there's a time to pray and then there's a time to fight'. Something of that nature. I can only assume he is trying to say 'play' but his words sound slurred and 'pray' is coming out. I wonder how many will take this as 'hate', lmao.
