DOA5 Music Choices ... ?

I wanted to bring this up a while back but I kind of forgot about it.
Chin was asking me what I prefered more, Character music ? or stage music?

at the time my answer to him was Character music creates individuality which is great. but, the stage music also sets the mood. for example you cant have a rock theme in the circus stage .. lol
and then I brought up the Club stages in previous DOAs and how they had character theme remixes ..

so it got me thinking ...

wouldn't it be a great idea if the music selection was done by choice?
like we would have all the stage and character tracks and we can select whatever track we want before the match .. just like how soul calibur V or guilty gear do it ...

and if you just choose random you get a random theme...

what do you guys think ?

I don't have a preference of stage or character but I would like good music and the Alpha Demo and E3 Demo were both lacking in this department. DOA1and 2 have the most memorable and hype songs and I would rather have them return to that style, regardless if it's stage or character specific.

well VF5:FS lets you play every fricken track ever made for VF ... which is awesome !

I would love to be able to do that in DOA5 ... (even if the tracks were DLC)

It would be great to also have a PLAYLIST option in the music settings (like DOAX) ... that way you can filter out the tracks you dont like ..

what do you think ? :D

in a way i kinda agree .. gives the new game its own personality ..

but at the same time it wouldnt hurt to have the option to use older tracks .. u know?

I think that the possibility to hear in the game the old tracks would be really interesting.

If TN did incorporate the old soundtracks in DOA5. The DOA2U tracks would be in constant rotation for me.

Honestly, I listen to my own music I have on my iPod. I rarely listen to the soundtrack in DOA. Hearing what's coming from DOA music-wise at the moment, I know I probably won't listen to the tracks at all. Hopefully they get better with the music for the game.

I still think it would be awesome if we could get the idea of track selection before match accross to the team ninja guys. Its not exactly something hard to do. That way everyone can pick their own favorite themes and everyones happy .. :D

Yeah I noticed, I remember watching some of your 2U matches on your channel and they consisted of rap and hip-hop. Good stuff. My favorite was the Kasumi mirror match with the song "My Chick Bad" playing in the background, I thought it suited it perfectly lol.

I want Jan Lee to have a brand new fresh theme. I love all of his themes, except for his DOA4, it was ok at best. His DOA3 was my favorite and best IMO, although I'm sure some would disagree. His DOA2 remix is good but I feel the original is better. And DOA1 is also great as well even for an old retro style theme. I think it would be neat if he got a remix of his DOA1 theme, or like I said something brand new and original. Something that really captures his fighting spirit.

Usually not a big fan of associating music to characters because most of the time you end up kicking ass on the same soundtrack.... However, the only time I had a blast with that was in my KOF days, I'd save Kyo as a 3rd character and as soon as he'd step in... it was on!(*memories*)...

I guess now I'd like music to be situational, kinda like what TN is trying to do with DOA5, but with more engaging music...

OR, what if they gave you an option to import your own favorite tracks (mp3 or whatever) and associate them to stages and/or characters? ...hmm... It'd be cool, especially on-line : you'd be sometimes amazed/appalled by your opponent's taste in music...
