I don't hate it but I've used Japanese voices for way too long to be good with anything but.

Seems most people are at least enjoying the opening couple hours. We'll see if it can keep it going.

I have watched the walkthrough on YT and I must say that I find NG3 better than Yaiba :L
= too short
= very bad story
= Yaiba doesnt settle the conflict with Ryu
etc.

I dont want to make this game bad but this is my opinion how I see this game. I have expected more.

I want Ninja Gaiden 4 but TN should give for this game so much time to fix all buges/glitches no sycthe spam sht etc.
but this not the topic to discuss it here

I love Joystiq. So how is the game thus far, for people who are playing? I might seriously consider picking it up, because I really do like the art direction and Yaiba.

Seems the Pwnit ladder was one of those things i misread. I got the shirt, cards, hotsauce (keep away from balls lol), and a tattoo sleeve.

I'll buy the game this weekend and force myself to make time to play it. By force I mean rip myself away from Ground Zeroes, Dark Souls 2, and FFXHD. Which is gonna be hard.

Alright, so I finished my first run of Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. Here are my thoughts:

I will admit that the ending is not all that. However, I do have to say I did have fun with the game. The graphics have that comic-style influence, the gameplay had its moments but it was still playable, and the music was good.

I do have some gripes about this game. The camera angles does need work, the game is short, and the jumping mechanics could have been better.

There are completion bonuses in this game. When you beat the game on the first run, you unlock the Kabuki outfit and also the Ninja Gaiden Z bonus game. The Schoolgirl outfit is also unlockable, but I haven't unlocked it yet. If you beat the game on the hard difficulty, you unlock the Nightmare mode. Nightmare mode is a tough difficulty from what I'm hearing. After beating the game once again in Nightmare mode, you will unlock the final difficulty called Hell mode. Hell mode is the toughest difficulty of them all. I wouldn't recommend anyone playing the game on Hell mode, TRUST me on this one. But if you are up for a good challenge, then be my guest on playing it on Hard, Nightmare, and Hell.

The completion bonuses aren't all that (with the exception of Ninja Gaiden Z bonus game, and some of the costumes) but it does add some replay value to the game.

With that in mind guys, this game gets my completionist rating of.... FI-LAY IT!

That's Finish It for hardcore, Play It for casuals. It's worth a rent if you are curious about this game, or buy it if you are a hardcore fan of Team Ninja's games.

(Side Note: The Completionist is a good web show.)

I unlocked the Schoolgirl outfit on my Normal run. Did you play on Easy?

I enjoyed what I played of Ninja Gaiden Z mode however removing the executions makes the game way harder than it should be since health drops are extremely few and far between. I like the presentation of it though.

As for the core game...the best way for me to put it without going too into detail (want to have a chat with a few people before posting anything in-depth) is the game is very front-loaded as far as fun goes. The further you get, the more it drains away. The Hayabusa fight is unfortunately where it all goes to hell and stops being fun for me. It's not so much that it's hard; I thrive on hard gameplay or I wouldn't enjoy the Ninja Gaiden series as much as I do. It's that there are a ton of bafflingly stupid balance and design decisions baked into the latter stages. I'll leave it there. I honestly really liked the game up until that fight, though.

Since I love you guys so much, especially @CyberEvil ; I wanted to share with you all that I received Yaiba from gamefly. I did not take it out the package. I never played it. I am just going to send it back, and cancel my gamefly subscription. Thank you <3.

Looking at your played games, you've done much worse. Your choice on what you play but posting something that stupid just to get a few people on FSD to chuckle and like your post seems like an awful waste of time to me. But here, I'll like your post anyway buddy.
