Emperor's post it was just a funny way to say that the fans of Tengu want back Bankotsubo and not another character from his race =)

And @Darkton93 I already gave my interpretation: the post had 2 meanings, could be intended like a joke for the fans or like April fools' day being a sort of national day for Tengu, considering his famous line about "his deception ruling everything" (and indeed the 1st April is ruled by the deception of the people that make jokes to the others XD).

Team Ninja doesn't make fun of the fans contrarily to other developers (even without malice): if something requested by the fans doesn't happen they ignore it and not mark that. The fact that they posted a picture for Tengu is for me an unofficial confirmation that now he is part of the roster of DoA5U, so don't worry for it

But Team Ninja is always been respectful of the opinions of the players: even when they follow a different route, they never say something against their opinions. More, they accept without problems all the criticism toward them on twitter, with the exclusion of offensive expressions.

With a such "background" for me TN recognizing openly the care of Tengu to the point to post something about him (remember that Hayashi thought that people neither played him) = instant win in my book: this is the confirmation that TN is bringing to the attention of everyone Tengu because almost surely is now in their schedule for the additional characters to release (and so the opposite to be a sadistic way to make fun of the fans, I repeat that for me people misunderstood completely their intentions and the supposed "joke").

I know that usually I'm overoptimistic in these situations, but really I don't have doubts this time...

I would love the thing, but the reaction of the fans supporting Tengu (and I'm not talking of DOAN) ruined the momentum IMO, and now don't seem to me the right time What could be a funny way to start the introduction of the character (like I'm sure that wanted be) ended to be on the opposite a reason for promoting contrasts between developers and fans: to continue a campaing pro Tengu immediately after the 1st April could be easily seen like a sort of "counterattack" to TN.

Also I'm not saying what DOAN did was justified and it could have been approached waaaaay better, but TN is not the innocent victim in this mess. They should have had enough foresight to know that there would be fans who would be upset over what they were most likely implying (that it would be hilarious if Tengu was actually added). It doesn't matter whether or not they will eventually add him, but to use the one day of the year where no one knows the truth it was pretty messed up to do that. :/ Also they never provided any more details after releasing all of those tweets so to keep us in the dark as to whether or not its fake makes it even worse.
