The DOA5U "Casual" thread. ^__^

Okay, so now that we have 5 new females in DOA5U (Rachel, Momiji, Marie, Phase 4 and Nyotengu) and pretty much all the stereotypical girls in fighting games (except the soldier girl and the exotic fortune teller), what are your expectations regarding male newcomers ?

That he's a male and tn didn't actually pull a bridget on us

So they're giving Phase-4 Kasumi's old dlc as her debut bundle pack- but re-coloured.... ha...haha...ha...he... wait, I feel like I should have seen this coming.

I guess we can probably guess what Nyotengu will get when she's released... Nurse... cheerleader... some weird school training costume... all stuff that will probably look ridiculous on her. Watch them do it anyway. They did it with Marie, are doing it with Phase-4... clearly this is a trend we can expect to see continued with Nyotengu.... sadly =\

Phase 4's recolors aren't that bad! She's got one of the best nurse costume and she looks hella cute in the gym one (P4 needs more costumes with hoodies, here's my hope for Casual vol. 3). Something is wrong with her swimsuit's textures though, but maybe it will look better in game.

My biggest problem with Phase 4 outfits is that she looks exactly like Kasumi.

She is a clone of Kasumi the popular female mascot character of DoA. If TN was gonna sell recolor clone costumes for a clone it would be for someone like her. Kasumi casual fans and completion people are the main market target.

Why would anyone purchase outfits for a clone character?

Because she is Phase 4.

Even if it's apart of another female fetish pack (and makes no sense for the character to wear), this one at least has some originality to it since real Kasumi doesn't have it:

Phase Four is a brilliant excuse for TN to sell even more *NOT* Kasumi costumes as DLC at 2x the rate. The general public is gonna eat that up faster then Billy Bob at the buffet table. I wouldn't be surprised if that was one of the major reasons why Phase Four even exists: potentially high post-release DLC returns.

I actually like Phase 4, it's as if she is a twin sister to Kasumi and I always wanted twins in DOA

I actually like P4 gameplay style more then regular Kasumi and thinking of subbing her since I'm maining another "clone" character anyway lol.

To be fair, I'd rather them sell "not" Kasumi outfits for P4 then 50 recolors of Kasumi's nurse, cheerleader, swimsuit, etc...
