Nah, they wouldn't go that far. If anything, they just won't accept your email submission.
As far as I know, they send no one a confirmation mail.
What was the size of the picture you send them? Was it fit for screen or as large as possible? o . O
I'm afraid, they might not resize my picture well to be presented on their site...
That's what I also fear... It was so much easier for everyone with Facebook, even though the image quality was shit...but all the pictures' image quality was equally shit. XD
Your artwork is so nice...I hope, it won't be ruined.

Let's hope they have someone resizing images with love and photoshop knowledge... I discard to resend them my design since they don't accept modifications. If my image has been awfully resized I'll post it here in better resolution. I just hope they have it. On last contest I got a confirmation answer by facebook PM

No one gets disqualification for resend a design. But rules are clear, they won't accept modifications. Imagine what could happen if participants send one design, then they say "oh no, wait, i changed the costume, or I changed character, or now with eyepatch, now without..."). I'm not sure if for a size modification they will make an exception, I guess they won't, that's why I'm not sending my entry again. But you can try it, maybe I'm wrong. What's for sure you are not going to get disqualification for that
