Apart from the stream, where the focus seemed to be showcasing only the DOA1 stage, we only got to see a handful of videos of Japanese demo players. Maybe these players weren't DOA fans and didn't know, there was some new stuff to check out, maybe certain parts of the game were locked (for example tag play) or maybe staff members didn't allow filming of any of the new stuff. Who knows... It certainly was disappointing, what we did see on TGS of the game...hardly anything.
(What we saw of Tekken 7 was even more disappointing though...nothing!! D: )

By the way the picture of Eliot is not there, like I said apparently Mist wasn't at the event (and however maybe he would post all the infos bu I'm not sure if forbidden pictures, the last time he asked the permission to TN).

The game was completely locked if not for the single versus mode, more of course should be absolutely avoided to leak pictures or videos (staff members continually look for it).

Its so obviously the japanese people were not happy with the new costume.
Also another reason why the voting were on their own site~! I'd have preferred if @Kodachi 's marie won! Because I really love that red dress!! and the ripped thighs!!

It would actually make much sense, if it really were these two, who were the new characters:
They already fit into the Ninja Gaiden/DOA universe, they are male and female, he is "resurrected", she "isn't black-haired", she will indeed make "good use of the soft skin/boob feature" (as Hayashi also revealed), both are already perfect as a tag team partners, their inclusion will promote Ninja Gaiden Z: Yaiba a little more, which kinda flopped...

Some of the videos showned were official (so requested from TN or the interviewers), the same of course for the streaming.
EDIT: Actually I would like to get Yaiba and Miss Monday in the game, however about the male character they talked of something that the fans of the series would like (and Yaiba is from NG and neither a veteran character), while I see hardly Miss Monday as a fighter (however not that TN can't think for something about it).
Personally I think that Yaiba has more chances than Miss Monday, but even the same Yaiba is less likely compared to Raidou or a legacy of the DoA1 boss: add to this that they reserved in the roster a place for a character just under the DoA4 boss and the pseudo Doa2's one + that they favourited a request for Raidou, and the chances for this scenario increase.
If Hayashi would have said that the male and female character are related between them then this would make completely sense, but to talk about a "resurrected" male as returning character (then it was the interviewer to use the word "resurrected" if I'm not wrong), and of a female character with not black hairs is too much generic for thinking immediately to Yaiba and Miss monday.

I thought about Yaiba when they said " resurrected fan favourite". Yaiba may be resurrected but almost certainly not a fan favourite. Unless the term was being used ironically.Just had a terrible thought!!

You do have some good points, Kronin...but your "Team Ninja favorited a Raidou request"-argument is really no argument at all. I wouldn't even mention it, but you bring this up so often! The community manager actually favorites/likes lots of things on Twitter and Facebook. He is also human (by the way a really nice one) and sometimes acts like a human, liking something for personal reasons. It is really a little far-fetched, to read a Raidou confirmation in a favorite/like.
That being said, I also wish for Raidou and I also actually believe, it might be him in DOA5LR

I'm the first one to say that this hasn't to mean necessarily something and I don't consider it a true hint and even less a confirmation, but believe me that the TN people behind the FB or Twitter accounts have never favourited before a direct request for a character. At the most they did it for some that could have more reasons to be liked (as the request of Forlorn showing them gamplay of Tengu in DoA4, or the request of Synce sending them a fan art of Tengu).
More this isn't the first time that someone posted a request for Raidou, and the only one liked was just one sent few days ago the revelation that DoA5LR will get a "new" male character apparently already known from the fans. It couldn't be a coincidence.

In any cases, for a time the male character has more chances to be included than the female one: if Yaiba could end to be a favourited from the players of TN, I believe that before of Miss Monday in terms of preference from the fans there are other characters as Nikki, Irene, Aoi, Eileen and even the same Rio Rollins Tachibana (of course not that TN has necessarily to include a character requested from the fans...)

If miss monday is in this then I guess thats fine by me. But Yaiba would really make me question who on TN is getting to pick who gets in. Also miss Monday will loss points just on the fact of not being Irene.

At this point, I just want someone who can stay in the series. I accept bosses(Raidou is a total badass) and NG ports(Irene, I'm looking at you) and maybe, just maybe Yaiba. I just want to play as someone who is going to be more than a bonus in this game and then disappear in DOA 6.

There are many reasons on the paper because Yaiba could enter in the game, first of all because he is the main character of an half original franchise of Team NINJA created few time ago: from this point his presence could make more sense than an old boss. At the same time the preferences of the fans are of course addressed toward old characters and this indipendently if NGZ got or less success: the nostalgic factor led always to wish for the return of the old elements that the fans loved in the past.
I totally agree, this is my main priority for the new characters of the game.
