Do you mean SC4? That's the Ivy that you posted. The one that Tyaren posted was from SC5.

I highly doubt that he got inspiration from that outfit... Sure, SC5, not SC4. Not one bit. Also, you're practically calling his outfit bad, because I'm assuming you think SCIV Ivy's outfit is awful. That's cruel..

if i thought the outfit was shit believe me i would say so. that said i do believe it could be better if there was actually some tact to to showing the skin

I know Jeanne, the designer of this outfit, and when she says, she was inspired by Dynasty Warriors, then she was inspired by Dynasty Warriors. Either you don't believe me, or you don't believe her. So, what's it?

I believe her, but her interpretation of Dynasty warriors is a bit off :/ it would make more sense if she said Kitana from MK

I just searched google images for female Dynasty Warrior characters and saw several outfits that could have inspired the outfit.

Also, Jeanne is a professional artist. And she's that good of an artist, that if she is inspired by something, the outcome can differ quite drastically and is something that is all her own.

perhaps i worded that incorrectly, true inspiration doesn't necessarily mean you aim to create something like that, but is that WAS the intention i believe she failed

I have a feeling that each character will end up with costumes from the design contests. Assumable that it will be one each, but as some characters had as many as two in the the top ten the first time, it could be two each (which would give mine from that contest a chance!).

I also believe it's safe to assume we will get Halloween costumes contest entries for the next dlc (next month is October after all). So prep for some tasteless/overly revealing costumes for the popular ladies (gypsy Marie Rose anyone?). Perhaps it's good that Lisa, Christie, and Rachel aren't so popular. They could end up with some good designs over revealing ones (unlikely though, knowing TN).

Wow, that would be very late, don't you think? Although I also think, that Team Ninja would have to create the costumes (if they recreate some from the contest) quite fast for this Halloween. I'd really love to know, how long it takes for one costume to be realized.
A few days ago TN claimed on Facebook, that there will be new male costumes soon...I can only imagine them being part of the Halloween DLC. So, fan created or not, I think, we will indeed get new Halloween stuff.

I'd actually rather have Halloween costumes designed by Team Ninja anyway. I think, they did a pretty good job last year. It was my favorite DLC so far and I nearly bought all the costumes. As I already said, the top ten, that won the contest, would not go into my personal shopping cart.

The only commendable costumes from the Halloween contest's Top 10 were Nyo and Sarah's.

Yeah, I'm sure the reason the contest was held in early summer was so that they would have time to make the costumes for this Halloween.
I don't think making costumes takes as long as some people may think. From personal experience, I made a costume for Skyrim (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19319/?) in about 50 hours, and that was my first ever attempt at 3d modelling so a lot of that time was spent learning. As for recolours, they literally take about 5 minutes to do.

Honestly wasn't a fan of the last Halloween costumes back then I took more as a sign of good faith more than anything. the only costumes I actully liked were Zack and Ein's everything else was completely generic
