That's a lot of animations. I don't think it's worth it to waste all that time on something that wont occur very often in a match. They PB's act right now for tag is just fine.
True, as I said, it's just something I would like to see haha

Personally I'm more disappointed that we have basically the same wrestling ring stage as in DoA4. I get why it is there but meh. So now we have a boxing ring and a wrestling wring that are essentially the same stage with a different background.

This trailer here has 2 diffferent wrestling rings, a smaller one and a larger one. So adding the Gym, I guess there are 3

I hope we get more than just three square stages for tag battle. I want more diverse stages like in DOA2 and DOA3.

This trailer here has 2 diffferent wrestling rings, a smaller one and a larger one.
One is the old DOA4 wrestling ring with added electrified ropes and some minor graphical changes (laser light show and walkway to the ring).
The other stage is actually a rusted up heliport and is outside.

This is pretty good. I know the European players are going to eat this up. There might be a resurgence on their part.

How can you have frame traps in this game when you have a hold that can be performed in zero frames and while stunned?

There are indeed frame traps in DOA, but they do not function like in other fighting games simply because of the holds in stun.. maybe another new term should be created for DOA and its infamous uniqueness.

Maybe if he has a sitdown stun (unholdable, only SE) from his stance, that would force into a grab at the least?

He's saying you don't continuously get stacking damage from people countering during a string. If you land a counter hit, your entire string is counter-string

I would love for the damage multiplier to stack after each counter. Seeing the reaction on someone's face after an itty bitty combo turns into a touch of death just because he couldn't stop mashing counters would be priceless. I want this now, bad.

Team Ninja probably had a hard time coming up with plausible ideas for stages with rope walls. I mean, nothing really comes to mind for me expect wrestling rings. I bet that the ring will be in every doa from now on unless they remove rope moves altogether.

Yeah the stages in DOA2U were the best by far. They were so dynamic and had so many options in the stage.

The original doa2 and doa2u had the best stages in all of doa. I would like a dlc pack with old stages back, because I'm really not feeling doa5's stages except for Kokoro's stage. Honestly, every other one I've seen sucks.

Edit: Fuck Jann-Lee's new voice.

now if only she gets her black leather shorts, then the tag team of Sarah and Lei Fang will be ready :p

Don't know how good you are with Leifang, but this team is banned from Emperor Cow.

-In 3.1, there were frame traps on block. And frame traps on normal hit, but I do not believe there were any for stun, unless you consider 180 fsd to a stunned opponents back a frame trap lol.

well I can tell you now. Its been ages since I've played Lei Fang ... like I said I kinda skipped the DOA4 generation (or more like just breezed through it n lost interest due to the shit factor) ... I've kinda fallen in love with the Ayane changes in the alpha build. If Lei Fang is improved anywhere near that, then I am deffinately looking forward to her. :D

As for Sarah.. well Shes fun as hell, and the DOA stun system will be highly in her favor, particularly when it comes to going into flamingo stance. If you think about it .. she has transitions into flamingo from Mid K or High K. and because of the longer hold times, if you go for a low hold for example I can kinda see how she would pissibly have advantage even with a High transition ... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Also because of the stun system her transition into "Step" stance and the slower inputs of flamingo will be far more useful in DOA than in VF... I still think her biggest weakness will be that the majority of her good tools contain a Mid K, but I guess that gives more reason for the rest of her move set to shine ;)

I Honestly don't know who I'll end up playing yet .. but I can't wait ! :D

Outside stun?

The hold is still 0 frames outside of stun. But at the very least you can frame trap to limit an opponent to either blocking or guessing a counterhold. And I think frame data will play a much heavily role in DOA5 compared to DOA4.
