The breast pads looked...uncomfortablely awkward, I'll admit. This makes more sense. And when does TN NOT add out of place high heels? *looks back at all the bikinis*Got hands on a higher quality version of the trailer, and because we haven't seen @synce's Phase 4 in detail yet, I made some screens:
TN modeled the costume quite beautifully and intricately. There are some changes from the original design though. I wonder, why they decided against the breast pads and why they gave her these imho out of place high heels. :/
Besides that though, though they did a good job. Still wish they gave her the short hair option that was in the submission though.

The shoes did crack me up at first but I don't mind the changes.. The original breastplate was supposed to be a semitransparent material with chromaflair tint and a soft blue glow. I remember designing it wondering if PS3 could even render those effects at 60fps, especially with the dangling cables and chains. Kudos to TN for keeping the other stuff in

That's so awesome! I liked your render better though, overall but she still looks great! When I first saw the trailer I rewound that part like 5 times -- I was like OMG! that's the one i wanted! I can't tell right now but did they change the breast plate into a bra? Is that water on her chest? And if it is a bra will we be able to change it pale or soft blue? That would be cool! Seriously, either way, I'm really excited to use that costume. I've been maining her lately and she really needs some costumes!

I've to say that I like the changes made from TN to the main black part of the outfit (very imaginative IMO), however for the rest I agree that I preffered the many nice details present on the original design. The shoes are IMO the only bad part because they are out of costume XD, but I really like the overall costume despite the additions and cuts done, so no problem for me. In my book this is another very cool outfit for Phase 4 together with her Grim Reaper

Thanks UpSide for still having memories of my outfit, but to say the truth I don't have more a good opinion on it Not sure that would be a great thing to see it in the game (at least without heavy changes), I've to be the only DoA Designer on the Earth to think something similar for his work XD

Moving along...congrats synce your design is awesome and I think it deserved to be in the game.
I'm guessing they'll reveal more outfits with the new girl so we'll be waiting again I guess...

Why possibly? I'm 100% sure, she'll get a new costume for Last Round too. If there's no fan costume to chose from (though there are still some nice Halloween contest submissions!), they'll give her their own costume creation. I'm also sure, there will be other characters besides Alpha (with Kasumi's school uniform), that won't get a fan costume, but something else. Not every character had a great selection of contest entries to chose from. There were either too few, none...or they weren't really good. We'll see...
Like Argentus I'm thrilled the most for the male characters' costume reveals. Really excited to see Leon's, Rig's, Bayman's and Zack's costumes...
For mentioned characters I could imagine these outfits (but my intuition kinda sucks as I noticed XD):
@Argentus, I believe this one has actually high chances. It's badass, it fits Leon perfectly and it hasn't much competition.
This is one of the two top 10 designs for Rig has in my opinion the best chances. It's a different look for the usually hooded Rig, but I still think, it fits him perfectly and by the looks of it, Team Ninja likes to give him the more sexified outfits. He would be a great tag partner with Eliot in this look. XD One more punk, the other more urban/hip hop.
This one could probably be chosen over the design with the black shirt, because that other one is a little plain (and I have the feeling that TN chooses the more interesting/spectacular costumes for LR) and because it looks too close to Leon's.
For Zack, I have no clue. There were only two designs. None of these stands out to me personally. But what do I know?
So he's either getting one of those or a design by TN.

Don't forget if the Halloween contest costumes are any indication theres no guarantee a character's outfit ment for them won't be given to someone else
for example i don't see either of jacky's entry's being put in the game as one looks completely ridiculous with his shirt wrapped over around his head and the other simply doesn't fit him at all, hes a cocky famous race car driver so him wearing a waiter outfit from some local diner for minimum wage doesn't really suit him.
so i can see him getting another characters entry like this one from rig for example which suits an arrogant douche bag like jacky perfectly...just replace the R logo with J and bam new outfit for jacky

I'm looking at Leon's outfit, and trying to figure out what TN would change, if anything. For some reason, I can imagine them getting rid of the bandanas entirely. Or not including the tattoo.

the only thing i can see them changing is making the bandanna not cover his eye since it would conflict with his toggleable sunglasses which i'd be ok with over removing the bandana entirely because of it.

ehm....yeah...i'd rather they just make it so if you toggle on sunglasses, it toggles off the bandana, like I sketched in the picture. Yaknow, one or the other. Technically your submission though so I'll just leave that up to you lol.
If Leon's costume makes it in the game, I can see them not including the tattoo. Character models are hardly ever changed/altered, even if it would seem fairly easy. :/ Even though I don't mind too much, I still wonder, why they wouldn't include Eliot's black hair streak, when the costume otherwise is 100% faithful to the original design. from the number and locations of the holes in his shirt to the UK underwear... Also, why does Kasumi get a new hairband for her LR costume but Ayane doesn't get the butterfly headband, that's imho needed to complete the costume?
