Phase 4's gravure: She teleports around the beach wondering wtf she's doing there while a camera man tells her to roll around in the water

Alpha 152's future gravure: she BURST's a tree to get a coconut and then RUSH's the coconut to crack it open and then BURST's a parrot

"I don't want to roll in the sand...but I will!"
(puts on string bikini)
"Why must I be sexy...is it my sole reason to live?" :/

As for the 31 outfits...I have a bad feeling they cut one of the guys. Female DLC always sell better (since it will be DLC on last gen) and I doubt they'd leave out Nyo.

All these reimagined versions of characters we thought could never come back, has brought back a faint glimmer of hope that they can reimagine and reintroduce Nicole the same way. I knoe its not gonna happen but I can dream :( especially got my hopes up with the reveal that the new girl will be the largest yet so I know I'll be disappointed

Anyways what they really need to do is consolidate the costume selections. Like two costumes that are pallets swaps should become toggle options for a single costume slot. Same for costumes that are the same outfit, but one or two accessories changed or added. Especially now that the girls are getting over thirty slots.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember that actually being the case in DOA3. HOWEVER, the problem with that was that people were not able to use the same costume. So for example, if you're Leifang and wanted to use her Chinese dress, if Player 1 chooses the dress, then Player 2 could not choose the other colors of the dress. That's probably why a lot of costumes have separate slots, even if they are just palette swaps.

Forgot about the glasses option, that's probably what they mean. Wasn't aware of underwear colors though lol.

Thanks! Can't wait to play this. That cyborg Raidou looks kinda cool too imo, might have to tag him up with Leon if he is brutal enough.
Seriously lol? I even made a thread to raise awareness about underwear customization, not to encourage it, but because its flat out ridiculous that people still don't know after two years lol. It should be as common knowledge as anything else you can toggle!
Dude, I totally agree. I saw some that should have most definitely been added...
Here's hoping they use them for future dlc packs.

With all the desperate toggle options for outfits, there's no reason for that anymore. Let em pick the same outfit.

Say both I and opponent pick Mil as schoolgirl outfit.

Mine will be default hair, no glasses, and bright red polka dotted bra and underwear. Theirs could be cute sister hair, glasses, with baby blue bra and panties. All the little details make a world of difference.

You've pretty much covered how I feel about this topic! I'm with you, there! Well said. *Takes a bow*

But that still counts as the same outfit that is to be used by both players. Traditionally, in 3D fighters, players aren't allowed to use the same costume. That's why developers normally make different costumes for Player 2, some of them completely new designs, some just a palette color swap of the fighter's default costume. So even though DOA5LR has all the customization of glasses, hairstyles, accessories, and underwear, fighters won't be able to use the same costume I'm afraid. This isn't like 2D fighters, where the characters only get palette color swaps. We get full on different outfits. Just another reason why I love 3D fighters over 2D fighters. :)

Except traditionally, you can't alter the entire outfit right in the character select screen. My point was that now more than ever, they should compress costume selection slots tonly what are actually different outfits.

Plus, the argument of "can't pick same costumes" doesn't hold weight when the problem is that's EXACTLY what you can do. Both people picked Maries bondage lolita outfit, two separate slots, except one has cloth over the shoulders. No reason that should be a separate slot instead of just an l1 toggle

*Random Input* They need to give you more time to select your outfit whilst playing online! >_<

Not everybody uses buttons other than the default "confirm" button to select characters in fighters.

Leon trenchcoat pls kthnx.

The reason that won't work is because the game will still register it as Player 1 choose the outfit, so Player 2 cannot use the same outfit. Even it is the EXACT same outfit with minor cosmetic differences, such as Marie Rose and her C1 and C4. I'm not trying to say your idea is bad, because I agree that color and accessory palette swap costumes shouldn't take up costume slots, but it just won't work at this time. It works in USF4 mainly because the 3D sprite is the same, but there are such a variety of colors to choose from.

I've made that suggestion before but I was shot down because people said they didn't want to wait that long to start matches.

But if they did this it would all but remove the problem. 32 costumes down to around 18 again or whatever lol

I always check all customization options...

Also I wish, like with Mila, that you could unequip all headgear, not just football helmet. So be able to take off turban and bandana and spartan helmet and put ON a Santa hat.

Its as easy as making it so you CAN both pick c1.

If p1 and p2 pick C1 = yes (or however programming works lol)

That or still registering them as separate costumes, just in the same slot in character select.

Lol! You definitely make valid points! I enjoy reading your posts, and I value your opinions: As they are similar to mine. xD Helena Approves. Lol.

I'm done!! :oops::cool:

EDIT: Yeah, I find that ironic as Alpha is the only character where you can pick the same costume:

Apple. Strawberry, Blueberry, Grape! Funny, how MK (way back when) could only do palette swaps: Mileena and Jade were only a purple and green matte Kitana; Subzero, Reptile and Ermac were blue, green and red mattes of Scorpion! P1 and P2 could only be determined by said swaps! (Sonya Blade from MK1 - one green, one red) Hell, Raiden can be dressed in black in MK9 to offset his classic white! Look at Injustice - Killer Frost/Batgirl - the only way if Frost's Regime isn't selected, is to look at her "belt." - It's slightly darker in color. BG's outfit is also slightly darker unless you call one black and the other dark blue!

With accessories to make distinction, I don't see why such couldn't work outside technical reasons, but DOA5 is not at all limited like MK1 was at the time!

I still can't believe he hasn't got that costume. I also feel that they missed an opportunity with him by not giving him a police officer costume. That would have been perfect for him imo.

So, when do you think we will be getting new screenshots or more info or last new fighter reveal? Can we expect something new in the coming days, before christmas?

Around Christmas seems plausible to me. :) But before we will probably get some more glimpses of the new costumes, I guess. :)
