A lot of the nerfs look more like system changes. Crushes are getting changed up so I'm hoping mids can't be crushed anymore.
Lower disabled might mean lower body invincibility for air strikes so low sweeps can't hit someone who is clearly mid air (Bayman/Leon 9P).

What does this mean?
SSP: Change in ⇒ upper P parry an object to be hold attribute

Most of Momiji's changes are just the timing of the voices...
7K going from -14 to -25 just made me not want to use that move ever again. There goes my hype.
So that means her good keep-away tool is useless?

Good to see Leon dodge the nerf bat again. if google translate is right then his 9p jumping headbutt slam is now safe on block and it seems his 9K now launches higher meaning he now has a solid mid k launcher into air throw off a single stun without having to be near max stun threshold anymore depending on how high they made it launch now. Overall solid buffs to an already strong character, would prefer some frame advantage on his chain throw breaks and less pushback on his charged GBs but this will do for now.

also LOL they nuked the shit out of helena's throw damage

You already know that I'm smiling. :)

Yes. That's exactly what it means. Instead of giving her more tools, so people would stop spamming 6PKK, they just ruin one of her best moves. #TNLogic

But remember guys, Ryu was the second-best character in the game right after Akira. He needed the nerf bat. For balance!

Just ask Shimbori.

Yeah they needed it so Christie could move up from bottom tier with her juggle buffs.

Well Hayashi is trying to play it off as fans demanding LR (as opposed to, you know, DOA6)

It'd be too early for DOA6. I don't expect DOA6 for at least another 4 years, and in that time I would prefer playing DOA5 in tournaments on the "current" generation when no one plays on the "old" generation.

DOA6 probably won't come for awhile, so DOA5 Last Round is a port that I can get behind. Especially when you fact in that most tournaments are moving to current gen hardware for most games, minus the ones that are only available on last gen. Plus, DOA5LR is the first true 3D fighter coming to current gen hardware, which gives it an edge.

Kokoro went from safe to safe, with the exception of P+K which had other changes applied to it as well.

Truly, my heart is breaking for her. Let us all lament the fake nerfs of the character nobody in America even uses.

The risk reward on that move is really stupid, and that's coming from someone who uses it liberally.

Losing Lisa's tracking on 3k sucks but I think they made 1K actually do something now so I'm not too worried. Nice to see Phase and Tengu getting some positive changes.

They could've just changed the damage output to 20 or something, I wouldn't even care. I never used it for the damage anyways. I hope they at least fixed the cases where 7K whiffs in a juggle near a wall. It literally goes through the opponent without causing damage.

The nerf is fine and makes sense, 12 frame mid kicks that beat out everything really shouldn't be both safe on block and be one of the few moves in the game that has to be held and then throw punished. The damage on it wasn't the problem and its good that they didn't touch it because it has plenty of legitimate uses in wall combos.

Whelp, good bye Helena throws. I'm glad that they didn't change the frames on 214T or BT T since that's all I really care about.

It's nice to see Phase 4's buffs. 46T will be great!

Fuck google translate, I'm just testing this stuff out myself, lol. It somewhat sounds good for Eliot, but from what I see, nothing major.

Ein buffed (with a new move!?). Bayman buffed. Phase buffed. Tina buffed. Zack got new stuff, some nerfs and some buffs. Bass buffed. Ayane buffed. Hayate buffed. Hitomi buffed (mostly). Brad Wong new moves (effectively buffed). Christie buffed. Eliot buffed. Mila nerfed and buffed (better crushing). Rig some buffs some nerfs. Genfu possibly nerfed on string delay, buffed on safety, still god tier. Leon buffed. Rachel buffed. Sarah buffed. Jann Lee buffed. Pai buffed. Marie Rose buffed. Nyo buffed. Hayabusa nerfed online-only exploitable attacks, also became more evasive on his jumps -- overall possibly better?

Kokoro received fake nerfs. Lisa nerfed on tracking, gained fringe buff. Helena deservedly nerfed. Akira nerfed. Momiji theoretically nerfed, but not in a way that matters. Alpha deservedly nerfed.

I'm missing some I think, but overall I'm seeing more positive than negative.

Ryus 214p was probably an online exploitable move yeah, but 4 h+k was a great spacing tool. Having the frames on it nerfed really hurts the usage of what in my opinion was ryus best strike.

I don't understand the issue.

Now its safe, instead of online-exploitable fake frame advantage -1 safe.

I guess there is some fringe application for it being -1, but...

Anyhow, I reserve judgment. Shimbori seems to be making a big deal out of crushes (low crushes and jumping attacks specifically) functioning better. That could greatly affect Busa.
