So TN can make new outfits and we'll deride them for being lazy and pandering, but they can slap phase 4's outfit on random characters with some recoloring and give the guys a bunch of reused assets from NG3 and you'll praise them? Yeah some of the "fetish" packs were terrible but so is this.

They are giving outfits to male and females, making them more various and unique, and not necessarily based on a sexy fanservice theme but this time on a fighting/action one - a theme surely more fitting when you are talking, indeed, of a fighting game. It's this what imo make this pack better than the others (however I never disliked the "fetish" ones so much as other people - to be fair I also really like some packs even if I can't defend their lack of originality - so my opinion and canons are also very influenced from this).

This pack is not the best neither the most creative, is truly far from it. But IMO is also a big good evolution of the Cop and Christmas 2014 pack, that in turn were an evolution of all the previous sexy packs released during the most of 2014.

Confirmed on all 4 consoles. For some reasons the outfits cost slighty more on Xbox One.
Cool so I can use that mila costume on ps3 whenever I can hook it up again.

But this is also far better than anything we've gotten outside of the contest outfits, for an entire year now.

It helps that they aren't just more "sexy" outfits, but actual costumes.

It REALLY helps actually.

DAMN THIS IS AN AWESOME PACK, but I can't get it because THE STUPID STORE ONLY LETS ME BUY CORE FIGHTERS STUFF AND HONOKA'S DEBUT SET TT_TT anyone know when DLC is coming to PS4?

I think it's kind of funny and ironic that the most uninspired pack for the females is actually getting the best reception.
I think some people might be jumping on the band wagon, as this set doesn't show a lot of skin, just to make a point. Thats just my personal feeling.

Its not the most unimaginative (not along the lines of the towels or cheerleaders), but its just not as good as it could have been. Like I said before, I will excuse it cos' it just feels to me that they ran low on creative time. Thats the only real reason all the females are pretty much the same.

Some of the outfits look good, Mila, Marie and Honoka IMO, but if I paid for the Season pass I would feel a little cheated so far. Don't get me wrong, its not the worst, not by a long shot. Its just a shame, its not as creative as it could be.

Yeah....this is definitely a step up from the previous dlc packs mainly because

- Males are getting outfits
- Females are getting less pandering outfits [although one can make an argument that having non ninja females dressed up as a kunoichi is one of the more subtle fetishes]
- None of them actually look bad imo even if there was some color swaps involved. Brad and Eliot in particular look sick. MR isn't half bad either.

Assuming Ein is apart of the next ninja pack bundle, it would be pretty hard to somehow fuck up his outfit unintentionally because

1. Hayate has several cool ninja outfits
2. He is a guy and it's rare for male anime/videogame to look unintentionally bad when looking like a ninja.
3. So far it doesn't seem this themed pack is very sexy pandering at least on the male side.

Of course this doesn't mean jack if TN intentionally fucks him up by giving him short ninja slacks, fishnet, and ninja muffler and call it a day. Pretty sad that a Hayate cosplay is potentially the best dlc outfit he can get so far lol.

Can someone explain what's up with the "Doa5LR Free Bonus Set" on Xbone? I mean, I can see it in the store, it just says it's not available.

It's free if you bought the download version of the game. Otherwise it isn't, at the moment.

As for the ninja pack, I really don't like it. Boring, uninspired palette swaps. And just because it's not bikinis people automatically start fawning over it. And these ninja copypastes are going to be 50% of the season pass...

I agree.

At least this set is split (as much as I can see) down the middle;
50%: I love it
50%: Doesn't do much for me.

Not that bad really. As much as it pains me to say it (as he is my least favourite non-VF character) Brad Wong wins this round! Great costume.

We take what we can get.

When starving, you come to REALLY appreciate every scrap (of cloth, in this case).

Just kinda accept that outside of fan made outfits, tn isn't gonna bother making real or appropriate outfits anymore, so all I can do is look for the copy paste fetishwear that at least looks okay. and as I said, Mila in something besides short shorts is a godsend for me.

Heads up the ninja dlc isn't compatible between ps3 and ps4

Which direction did you try? Buy PS3 version and test PS4? Or only PS4? I suspect that they are only 'forward' compatible, ie only work if your upgrading to a new console and not the other way around....

The ninja costumes are pretty meh. While I don't not like them, just like majority of the fetish packs I'll just get the ones I like as oppose to the whole pack which will be Honoka's, Eliots, Kokoro's and maybe Mila's and Akira's.

I am mainly excited for the Senran Kagura pack. This should be one of TNs best packs because the SK outfits are very nicely made, stand out a lot, and are individualized. All TN has to do is choose the right costumes for the right characters and the pack will turn out amazing.

That is the tricky part. There are some obvious ones [Kasumi=Asuka], but the others not so much so I'm gonna expect at least a few awkward choices for few of the characters. Curious if they are actually gonna use the hair color/style from SK as well to match the costumes. Bonus points if they include the signature weapons somewhere like Kasumi would have the Asuka Dual Wakizashi.

I'm sure TN will at least pay special attention to the specific panties involved for each SK character so rainbow panties for Kasumi confirmed lol.

When I got my PS4, there was a free $10 PSN store redeem code in it so I used that to buy Eliot's and Kokoro's outfits since I don't like most of Eliot's current costumes and Kokoro's ninja colors mesh really well to me. Is this the most creative set? No. But, I like them enough to support the direction that TN is going for now. Plus, Kokoro looks badass with in this ninja outfit with her ponytail and mask in the game. : )

The outfits doesn't need to try to reinvent the wheel to appeal to you. At least for me anyway. I mean if your character got just a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, and plain shoes for example it can work well depending on the character despite having next to no creativity involved in the design process. Doesn't necessarily mean you need some overly elaborate flamboyant designs that will make you look like a Blazblue reject. Just get what you like that appeals to your personal tastes or move on simple.

Reading through this argument is like watching paint dry.

Dlc intentionally not being cross-buy would be stupid (not like I'm playing it on my ps3 anymore anyway). Also was sort of hoping the delay free dlc would be on the free upgrade as well as the digital purchase but I guess it isn't. Don't like the outfits but I do like getting free stuff.
