Help about DOA 5: LR DLC

Hi there, I am a new member. I hope you guys can help Me here. I finally got DOA 5 Ultimate the other day (I know, should of got it sooner but oh well) and I got the catalogs and it updated to last Round and I played a bit of it so I am a novice toward this version.

My questions is this.

#1. Is any DLC an unlockable option that I don't have to purchase any?

#2. Should I buy ALL of DOA 5 U DLC sets and still get ALL of the sets of LR or is that Ultimate DLC the same/included with Last Round?

I just don't want to make any mistakes. I will appreciate any of your help

Hi Brandon, first of all welcome to FSD and to DoA5 =)

Regarding your questions:

1) Sadly not, as predictable DoA5LR include many additional content from the past or the future that will need to be purchased separately. However the content included with the game is already much for a complete game, even more if you bought it for PS4 or Xbox One where it include even a large part of the past DLC.

2) As I said before, DoA5LR for PS4 and Xbox One include a large part of DLC from DoA5 (all beside one pack) and DoA5U (almost half of them) + the new outfits in disc. However if you upgraded your DoA5U version from Xbox 360 or PS3, then you get only the new outfits in disc from Last Round (almost 40).
So yes, at the moment you miss all the DLC from DoA5U and of course all the DLC of Last Round (that so fare are still available even on the consoles of old generation).

If you are interested to all the DLC in general, be sure to buy the DLC packs for saving money (as for example New Fighters + Debut set that give you all the 5 DLC characters + all their debut vestiary sets for 40$).

Anyway for fairness has to be said that the DLC of the game are very expensive (with the exception of the cost for the additional characters), it's useless to deny it. So if you are completionist or really like to use all the characters of the game then buy the packs, otherwise could be more wise to be focused only on the characters that you like or that you know to surely use for getting fun.

Just to double check, didn't some of the 'former' DLC unlock along with the Last Round update. The stuff the shows as included with Last Round should have been included in the catalog / update. Like the Warriors costumes and stuff. I would recommend making sure you have that update BEFORE downloading DLC.

Thanks guys. I just want to be sure that I don't get duplicates and that DOA U DLC IS NOT included with Xbox 360 LR udapte and that it will be compatible with LR.

I really hope this game becomes available in my country soon...... it sucks that theres DLC that it won't let me buy. Actually it won't let me buy the game either.
