Can't boot people from lobby??

Has TN said anything about this? In the most recent screens I don't see any kick option. In DOA4 it was BS how you could have a fine room one minute and have it ruined by a lagger who refuses to leave. It would also be cool if you could ban certain characters from rooms, like you can ban weapons from shooting games.

They haven't said anything about the online system besides today's screenshots and mention that they are going for a better online experience from DOA4.

I don't like the idea of banning characters. I'm also not a fan of the kick option, but I accept it's inclusion. I don't like it because I'm usually the one getting kicked, and it's because I was good, not for a legit reason. It'd be nice to no longer have to worry about that.

I would love a boot option, but only if the game can recognize inactivity and make it possible to boot someone after that.

I disagree with Dogg. The boot option is integral I'm sorry, especially in this day and age.

Not everyone shares a good internet connection, If I'm hosting a room and I'm faced with a horrible lagger then I would like to get rid of that horrible lagger thats ruining the experience for us all instead of creating a smaller room all over again but with one less spot.

In addition, if there are some beginners out there making some sort of a beginner room for themselves then maybe they just don't want to be beaten 100-0 by some show off until they actually have a better understanding of the game.

Also, when theres a prick on the mic who starts to either trash talk or decides all of a sudden to debate racial differences or religion or sing the Nyan cat song (yes, this has happened unfortunately), I would like the ability to boot that bastard out.

If you're getting booted because you're "good" then stop playing shit players and find a "good" room !

In addition, the lack of a boot option won't stop you from being 'kicked' out of the lobby. All it would mean is that all other players would leave on their own and start up another. The kick option allows the host to boot someone who might be annoying them either through verbal talk, skill level, or network issues. It allows the host to maintain their room and settings and moderate their lobby how they see fit.

Seriously. They need to add many things to the online system. Quitting was a hassle to and same with forming tag teams once a game has started.

Because I go around just hunting scrubs... Such an ignorant comment. >_>

I go into whatever room has a good connection. If the players aren't very good I leave after a few matches, but it's annoying to get booted after one match before I even get a chance to play against everyone in the room.

Agreed. I could see many people abusing the kick button. Maybe it should be a lobby vote not a host vote. So all the power wont go to him only.

although i understand both sides of the argument im gonna have to side with dogg on this one. i've lost count how many times i've been booted from a room in T6 simply because the bitch-made host is salty after a loss from me or they lost to someone else and boot everyone else to bypass waiting and get a rematch right away. its the reason i only play quick matches and don't bother with rooms in that game. hopefully this game too has quick match option because sometimes i just want to get into a fight and dont want to wait my turn in a big ass room unless im playiing with people i know

I'm torn on the matter, personally. I agree that players should have the option to eject unwanted players, but there's also the downside of being kicked for stupid reasons, like DrDogg mentioned.

However I definitely think that if a kick option were to be implemented that it should be done through anonymous voting, not by the sole will of the host him/herself.

Mr Wah has it right. You can't force them to play with you, they'll just leave. Boot options are needed for the other reasons mentioned here as well.

I'm not a fan of having that feature in the game but at the same time there has been situations where someone is trolling the lobby/lagging, or some asshat changing the lobby game rules to tag and low health or changing it to kumite or some other BS. In the essence ya I would of liked a kick feature to get rid of said asshole.

Why shouldn't I be able to kick people? It is my lobby after all. I can't even count the amount of times some jokerface comes in to my lobby, beats my friend, and changes the game settings to Kumite Tag with highest health and I'm stuck playing him on his terrible connection that he's stealing from his neighbor's wifi all the while me being unable to quit my own god damn lobby until the game starts, and of course he needs to wait out the the timer on the character select screen and map select screen. If I can't kick someone they better make damn sure no one touches my settings and make it so I can leave any time I want to. It's sad that dashboarding is still faster than waiting to leave when TN makes you watch their unskippable intro.

I actually agree with this completely.

Yeah of course there must be a kick option. And the settings of the room should not be changed by anyone except the creator himself.
