that 9hit string he does at :28 wonder if its one long string or was he just linking a bunch of separate moves together

Looks to me like the first 6 hits are 1 string, and the next 4 are another. Note the first move didn't land starting at 0:27

OMFG that match was epic. Eliot is so much better now, especially with his improved juggling capabilities! That 9 hit string almost left me speechless

I'll post my response to this from the DOA group on FB.

Alot of his strings have been "Mashed" together into multiple strings. His 66p+k now guard breaks. 2f+k has same stun properties from DOA4. His 3p(held down) can be used to relaunch opponent multiple times in juggles. 6K now refloats as well. I only want them to add more variety in his BT attacks.

Brad Wong pretty much looks similar to his DOA4 counterpart only difference is his stance. He has a variety of safe ways to get in and out his hand stance, specifically from 1p and 1k series. I'm sure they're will be more. Those transitions will make some crazy mind games. I'm not sure if Brad Wong gets anything guaranteed after his 4p+g throw that leaves the opponent backturned. From his ground stance his k,k string refloats. I'd like more variety from his 4k stance. I'm sure his 4p2, and 88_22p will be good sidestepping moves. I believe he has side rolls from ground stance as well.

Overall Eliot looks like he has more potential in DOA5.. His main pressure and CH's comes from mid punches. He does have a very fast high poke punch in DOA5, but it wasn't shown in this video. His CB is a little to obvious, but the long delay makes it useful. IMO they should really make Eliot's BT state a official stance since he has a variety of moves from it. Just add more. I really want to go over the rest of his moves and property changes. Have to wait til 9/25 :-(

That video is awesome. While i'd never use it in a competitive match, having an option to distort the view while playing as Brad would be great for sh*ts and giggles alone

Eliot is indeed looking solid. I wish someone could show us his entire moveset or write a breakdown.

Tweaking the juggle system on Doa5 was my dream come true. :) The juggling on DOAD was RETARDED, Its very good that they improved it on Doa5. TN also fix that stupid " sorry, u can only get 1 or 2 hits in if u win by K.O." Bullshit

WOW!! That was one of the most solid DOA5 matches I've seen. Too bad the video is distorted though.

For some reason I liked that "Brad vision" because it added to the awe! If I can show a person just one legit DOA5 clip, it'll be Brad Wong vs Elliot.

"Footage of the newly-revealed Brad Wong and Eliot! We've had some pro players help out with the testing here lately, so this footage gives you a look at some high-level play. It's really interesting to watch! Here's a simple breakdown of the action.

Brad Wong uses Drunken Fist kung fu. It's a tricky style that uses unexpected and confusing moves. For DOA5, we put in a new stance: the handstand. Brad can transition into a handstand from a variety of moves, and once in that stance, not only can he do normal strikes, when he lies down with his head to the opponent and launches the opponent with K, he will do a handstand and can followup with an air throw. And of course he still has his standard stances like lying down, back-turned, and dokuritsu-ho (standing on one leg). Working all his unusual moves into a fight makes just watching the fight a lot of fun.

Eliot has been practicing his Xing Yi Quan. His new move Sunsho doesn't have good reach or any followups, but with a 9-frame startup, it's really useful for getting into an opponent. He also learned a 10-hit combo moved called Gogyo-Renkan-Ken, designed to be like a real martial arts form (kata). In the footage, it looks like Eliot can easily launch people with Choryo, but it's actually really hard to do. Pulling it off like this is the footage--that's how a pro plays!"

From TecmoKoeiAmerica's description box on the video.

Brad Wong has an air throw LOL...

Going back to a previous discussion.

No offense, but what might make you think that ?
For what I can tell from these screens, it looks like regular online matches, except it's spectator mode and they appear to have move details displayed.

Yohei Shimbori : We’ll have an Online Training Mode so that you’ll be able to train with someone online. It will have a voice chat and a text chat. In this mode, you can pretty much do everything you can do in offline mode. People can come to your training session, watch what you do, and hear what you say.

I honestly think this is a great idea, especially for PS3 users who don't have party chat and even then with both consoles its still a great idea as you can use this to literally help train new players and help practice techniques with each other. Even with all the new features in sparring mode having a real person to train with is excellent.
