When asked about Tengu ... he flat out told me .. Does anyone even like him ?

YES! RIGHT HERE!

Leon and Ein are NOT in .. I am pretty much confirming to everyone that the last character is Alpha-152

No surprise there.

Never let "reviewers" tell you how good a game is... I learned this by playing Godhand. Most review sites give scores based off of everything but the game, IMO.

Not to mention that they are likely payed off by the game's publisher to write a good review.

cause it at least got some good players together, and played some offline DOA. I used to travel to Europe, China and some other places for DOA. CGS is the event that gathered a good amount of serious DOA players. I enjoyed every casual and official match with the players there.

Cause after all these moaning and arguing, you want to play the game, with 'not so dumb' players.

Finally confirmation. Well, at the very least I'm interested in seeing how Alpha will be incorperated into competitive play, DOA5 is a world different from DOAD and leaps and bounds superior.

Also as far as tourneys go, that one sounded horrible. But it's nice to see the developers aren't closed off from the community.

The tournament Was horrible but hopefully I intend to make up for all that with i46. I really want to do my best to promote this game before I move back home next year.

As for the developers, I swear Hayashi is so nice and approachable and he really listens and takes all the feed back. We also had a little chat about his history with TN. It seems the first game he directed was infact NINJA GAIDEN BLACK... which is arguably the best version of NG1. and if I'm not mistaken I think he mentioned that Shinbori's first Directed game with TN was DOA2U.

By the way Berzerk!, I told him you said hi ! (thanks for the tip on his favorite characters .. His custom cube turned out really nice :D)

I couldn't agree more, as much I had fun playing DOAD, it is the WORST DOA ever made compared to the rest of the series.
DOA5 is shitting all over it and its not even out in stores lol. :)

Honestly, don't look at DOAD competitively. Look at it casually. That's why it's still a good DOA game. It essentiually a complete series in one. Going through the entire story up til now and having every character playable. The best part is that it's portable!

EDIT: And, wait, when did this confirmation of ALPHA-152 being playable happen?

Well, all first-party DOA characters anyway. SPARTAN-458 wasn't in DOAD.

I hope Alpha 152 won't be more popular than Lisa.

I'd say it's a safe bet that she will be.

If (again, if) the last character really is Alpha 152, I'll be planning on taking time out of my day to systematically mock everyone who swore up and down that she wasn't going to be playable. That's why speculation is stupid - chances are you'll be wrong.

The real question, is she designed to be balanced or a for fun unlockable? In other words, will she be banned from tournament play or no?
