DOA5LR Brad Wongs - Assemble!

Guys, I need to know if there are any other Brad Wongs out there that play on PS4, and are students of the game. What do I mean by that? I need someone to collaborate with who understands frames, how to manipulate those frames, and who understands how to calculate advantages from downed/force teched opponents. I want to find practical force techs and unholdables. Let me elaborate on practical. Practical means that if I go for the force tech or unholdable, and it doesn't go the way I wanted it to go, I'm either still at advantage or a disadvantage no greater than -4. Basically, I don't want to be punished if I go for the option. I also don't want to give up heaps guaranteed damage to go for an unholdable or force tech.

If you don't know these things, don't worry, I will teach you. You just have to want to learn and we'll improve together. There are too many players out there that hit buttons, but don't know why they're hitting those buttons in their situation.

If you're interested, add me on PS4. SlyBass. In the friend request, just add a note saying Brad Collab or something along those lines.

Add me on PS4 and I'll help explain things to you. Been using the character for about 6 months now and got 7th with him at winter brawl. It'll take you a long time to get the hang of him and you'll get super frustrated against faster characters, but if you stick with em', he's super rewarding.

Saw your Brad at Winter Brawl..... it was Fantastic. I also noticed your attempts to interupt in some occasions were thwarted.

It happens to me too. Brad doesn't seem like he's capable of Quick Jabbing his way out of the pressure..... still though... great Performance. Theres no Brad quite like yours. ;)

Huh ? How do you get counter hit after you've already stunned her. What happens exactly because I'm really confused.

Honest question. Do you understand frames and stun advantages? If not, I can point you in the right direction for resources. Brad is the highest skill cap character. You need to know so many mechanics of the game to fully understand what you're doing with him.

Here is a thread where I explain frames. http://www.freestepdodge.com/threads/frame-data-explained.5412/

So to explain what you did in that scenario. If you connected both hits ok H+K, you're around +18 (don't remember off the top of my head). It can be staggered down to like +8 (again, guestimating because I don't have the data). The move :6::6::P: is 20 frames start up, so it won't hit them until the 22nd frame. So, take 22 - 8 = 14. So in that situation, if he hit you with a 12 frame move or faster, they will win the trade.

If you're looking to extend your stun game, you'll look at your advantage in a situation. If you're +20, you can use all moves 18 frame start up or faster. To find strings that don't allow your opponent to stagger out of stun, put the training dummy on fastest stagger and see what advantages you're left at.

@Sly Bass I already got you on PSN SlyBass feel free to hmu whenever about Brad and we can go through stuff together. Maybe see if we can both find some more setups with him. I've been trying to find setups off of half and full walls. Haven't yet so maybe we can work on that.

So um... I've found a butt ton of tech by myself through trial and error. Anybody out there able to share/compare tech? Or am I doomed to walk the same path I did for Akira?

Share it, then see if people have found better stuff. There's a lot of people who lurk but don't post.
