Can't wait for the newest TR to hit PS4 :):)
Yup game is amazing. UC4 wins out in the story/presentation but from a pure gameplay standpoint I put Rise handily above UC4. It offers superior gunplay, more open environments with better puzzle and platforming, while adding in great customization options for weapons/outfits/abilities with some solid RPG elements.

Does Rise of the Tomb Rider have as open and large environments as Madagascar and the tropical island group in Uncharted 4?

First of all LOL Tom Rider?

Second of all Rise of The Tomb Raider is pretty much one big hub world with different sections that are connected seamlessly with no load times littered with explorable caves, buildings, tombs etc and can all be revisted anytime you want with various fast travel points. Its different from UC4 which has a few open sections but still pretty barren in comparison to TR and much more linear

That sounds interesting. :) Didn't know it was that open. :)
By the way cool pictures, as always.
Interesting to see how the PS4 version of RotTR will graphically compare to Uncharted. Did you play Uncharted 4? How does it compare to the PC version graphically (outside of resolution and framerate obviously)?

@Tyaren

Yeah I beat UC4 about a month ago and from a pure technical standpoint the PC version maxed out definitely beats it due to using several graphic techniques and options simply not possible on current gen hardware like high quality ambient occlusion like vxao , higher resolution shadows, tessellation, better reflections, farther draw distance, higher foiliage density etc but UC4 is still is by far one of the best looking games on the market especially when its all being done on PS4 which compared spec for spec with a modern gaming PC is considered lower mid range at best. A better comparison would be against the xbone verison of TR which UC4 definitely surpasses.

I see. To be honest, the only real problem I had with Uncharted 4's graphics was the low resoution real time- and selfshadowing. Apart from that even a very critical guy like myself had nothing to complain. I was in awe literally at every corner of the game. What Uncharted 4 also excells at is the art direction and attention, no, pure love to detail, which greatly outweighs any technical flaws. I haven't so far seen this surpassed in any other game.

A couple more shots:

New close up of William of Team Ninja's Nioh:

Hair looks better than ever. :) Very detailed and clean. Future DOA6 models might turn out to look really good. (The geometry and textures of the rest of the model doesn't look too promising so far though.)

Hyung-Tae Kim is a big name in game art. He's become very influential in Korea and China, the upcoming gaming markets. I'm personally not a fan of his proportions but I really like his clothing designs and his way of coloration.

Great pics @Fiend Busa, though to be honest graphically, and for being on maxed out settings, it doesn't look that impressive. Some pretty washed out texture and pixelated shadowing here and there. Is the city fully explorable or are there paths you have to take?

On another note, once again I have to say, as much as I dislike the art style and character designs of KOFXIV, the characters are very well modelled. This beats Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7 by pure geometry any day of the week:

Mirrors Edge Catalyst is fully open world.

Yeah, the graphics arent as good as they could be, especially when you find out it's using the same frostbite engine as Battlefront and Battlefield 1

I probably should of turned off motion blur, I had it all the way cranked up lol.

Yea, like Upside said, it's open world.

Edit:

For people who were disappointing with MEC graphics, I never noticed my VRAM setting was set to limited and that caused the low res texture and horrible shadows.

Man screenshots don't do this game justice when I say it looks damn beautiful! Though there might be some bias because I've always loved the way Mirrors Edge looked!

The art style is still pretty meh...but the modelling, texturing and IQ gives Street Fighter V a run for it's money. It isn't particularly pretty but it's also not particularly ugly.
There's also a customizable versus mode in there which SFV still wasn't able to implement in the full game. XD

I swear I got no alerts for this thread for ages! I don't know why that happens some times but anyway, Raven looks incredible in Tekken 7 and the game is really starting to look great in how the characters look. I'm still not sure if I'll be getting kof though, I've never played a game in that series so I don't no what I'd expect.
