The hope that doesn't mean though that once you leave an area you can't come back to it! I hope it just is like in older GTA games.

Which for anyone that doesn't know in the old GTA games over the course of the story more of the area would become explorable but you could still explore the areas you'd been to before.

If its like that and you just have to play through the story to be able to explore new parts of the world then I'll be fine with it. I also hope after you've completed the game the post game takes place after that and doesn't just push you back to a save before you had done it!

I am very sure you can go back to areas earlier in the game. Don't worry. :) They never mentioned anything like this and why would you need the flying car upgrade towards the end of the game when you basically wouldn't even need it to travel to places faster or to reach places you couldn't before.

On another note, there's good news for anyone that bought or plans to buy the new Xbox One S. There is actually a little stealth upgrade inside that improves framerate, in some cases up to 5 more frames per second, and that can reduce tearing. It's mostly visible in unlocked 30fps games with dynamic resolution. In other words Final Fantasy XV is a good candidate for that. Because the Xbox One version runs on lower specs than the PS4 version but the console is now a bit closer in power to the PS4 it might see better performance results and even reach that stable 30fps that the PS4 struggles to hold. So jealous! D:

Big open areas with nothing to do but look around and maybe fight some monsters? Take forever to travel through until you have the flying car? Like Tyaren said it sounds good on paper but it's not really....fun? if these big areas have no goal or completion aspect.

I guess, we will see how and if this works out. By the way alone the Duscae Valley in the demo had me interested for over 20 hours. There was (for me personally) so much to see and do.

Shamelessly double posting... but Square Enix Germany has invited several German gaming journalists to play the game:

It is apparently either the full game or at least a new demo that will be presented on Gamescom in Cologne later this month. :)

Also the Digital Premium Edition for the PSN store was just announced:

Interesting part is: It includes a season pass! O: So there is going to be more DLC... Please, pleeeeaaaaseeee let it be more costumes, beautifully colorful costumes!

I don't like the idea of a season pass (in general), though it means we're getting lots of DLC, cool. Like I already stated, I'm hoping for boss fights (and yeah, costumes, 'cause why not).
I except them to be like FF XIII-2 : outfits, weapons, boss fights and little story chapters.

Digital "Premium" Editions are getting silly...

$85 for just the game, theme and a season Pass is pretty silly.
And unfortunately, its a VERY common trend plaguing everything.

And the theme is this one:

Thanks but no thanks...

Okay so yeah there's a season pass so we are getting dlc! I'm hoping for outfits too and new story stuff and quests!

Also have to disagree with you here. I really hope it is not story related stuff. Because that would pretty much mean they cut it from the game. I waited so long and I'm going to pay so much money (90€ for the Deluxe Edition), I want the complete game. :/

especially nowadays where season pass doesn't even mean everything anymore. its always better to just buy what you want, you save just as much money if not more by just getting want you want and ignoring what you don't.

Oh I mean more like post game story missions that were developed after the game was released, I know what you mean though because some games do take stuff out of the final release to put it in later. So I wouldn't mind if they had only made them after the release and they were like extra hunting missions etc.

If that thing about wide open spaces is true that is going to be the biggest thing people will point out. I'm one for it depending on the environment (used to be paid pretty much to hike for a couple summers) and as long as the environment looks nice I'm game.

Shamelessly double posting again. More about the content of the season pass was revealed on Japanese PSN:

There really seems to be story DLC. Backstories of Gladio, Prompto and Ignis?
Yeah, they've clearly just cut this out of the game. No way this isn't already finished or near finished when they've perfectly planned this out months before release. Greedy, dishonest a**holes, seriously... >__>'

... I'm probably going to get the dlc for their backstories though, It does seem like its something taken from the full game though so I hope it is't a lot of money.

I wonder if it will have combat and if it will have them on their own or with the rest of the group?!
But yeah I'll buy it I just hope its not expensive and that it's also fun.

@Jadeinchains, we can get a pretty good idea how much these will cost. The Digital Premium Edition costs 85$. If the game costs 60$ the season pass costs 25$. If you divide it by the different stuff that is inside the pass each story DLC can't cost more than 6-8$. It isn't that bad...

Okay I hope there is about 5 hours at least for the dlc stories each, I also hope that there is dlc that takes place after the story. That price doesn't see all that bad so I'm okay with it.
