I wonder if we will see something of Nyx in the game...
We didn't see him actually die in Kingsglaive (just as Glauca), right?

kingsglaive spoilers!

I think it fits the story better if he did die since it really seemed like he was going to and that added to the fight.

I haven't heard much from Dissidia recently? I still want Fran, Yuna, Serah etc.

Loving your fanart Tyaren of Noctis and Lightning with her Louis Vuitton.

I'm pretty sure like almost everything is product placement lol

Square better hope they make profit on this because all this product placement can't be cheap...

Wouldn't it be the companies paying Square to have their product in the game for advertisement?

Either way there really is a lot if ads in this game now, I don't have a problem with most of them but I wonder if there will be more before the games release?

Well it's not like this is not something you don't expect from Square...
Just look at Cloud' super outdated phone in AC

And yes, I expect more. Last time I saw a game with so much product placement it was Yakuza (whole series).

Watched Brotherhood start to finish today while waiting for my fiance to get home. I was planning on getting the game after seeing Kingsglaive but Brotherhood did a great job on selling me on the main characters of the game. Still some pieces I hope come together in the game itself that Kingsglaive set up but yeah. Looking forward to the game. I really hope the gameplay doesn't ruin it. Almost would have preferred turn-based combat at this point and I'm an action game junkie.

Did you play any of the demos (Episode Duscae, Platinum Demo)? They should give you an impression of what you are in for. The combat system has been improved and extended from the demos to the system of the finished game though. So far the reactions to combat are mixed. Many like it but it seems as if there's also many that don't like it. I think it is actually fun and flashy...but it does seem to lack greater depth and nuance. It's probably not a combat system that you need much skill for. ;) But you imo needed much less skill in FFXIII and it's sequels. Especially FFXIII's combat was basically set to autopilot.

Yeah the combat is a lot more flashy, I enjoy it and thinks its fun too but I'll need to play the final version to decide since in the demo I wasn't great. It probably does have less depth like you said though since in FFX ypou really had to think ahead of what the enemy might do and what you'd make everyone do. Even though it was stressful its nice to have that control over your party.

Where are people getting that real time action gameplay takes "less skill"? If anything it requires more, because you have yo do everything like block, counter, warp and everything in between yourself.

That definitely takes more skill than highlighting attack and pressing the X/A button.

Also, if you play XIII using only auto battle, you're playing it wrong. Auto battle only works in the early chapters.

Play it correctly by manually selecting what is actually best for the situation and do chain cancels and tbe XIII and XIII-2 become strategic ATB that FF is known for.

Said actually no one. I said that you don't need skill to do flashy stuff in FFXV (many complain about it being rather shallow for a battle system of it's kind) but I mentioned that it still needs more skill than the FFXIII games.

If auto battle only works in the early chapters how do you think I completed the game, two times, without any problems with any boss. I don't think I played it worse or wronger than you. >__>

From what I said I didn't mean it in a you'll need less skill I meant that while in FFX you had to take your time and think about how doing certain things would make the enemy react. ( you cura yourself so it does a wide damage attack ) In FFXV the fights might be more about dodging and fast reactions to what's going to happen. I haven't played it beyond the platinum demo so before I say how I feel I'd need to play it, But both types if combat require skill.

Edit: There's also the added fact of placement in FFXV now that its open world you need to know where you are from the enemy and also what's on the battle field like a flammable outfit that you can attack the enemy with.

While I do not agree that FFXIII was autopilot, XIII-2 definitely was, because it was easy as hell, even with DLC bosses. The fact that there are less abilities than FFXIII doesn't help, it means that there are less things to choice, the only time in which is not worth doing auto battle is with the SAB role. XIII was a lot harder, and I think that using auto battle here doesn't mean you can't beat anything/anyone, it just takes twice as long [?].
There are also other FF games that are more autopilot than XIII. XII is the major culprit, that game can play by itself, no skills involved.

XV looks like a game where your skill is very determinant, at least against powerful enemies/bosses.
In Type-0 battle system (which I view as a downgraded FFXV battle system) you could beat enemies 30+ levels above you without any problems by using the right strategy, but maybe it's because some abilities/characters are broken as hell (Rem, I'm looking at you lol).
Speaking of broken and unbalanced stuff, I hope FFXV doesn't have any xD

Qhat I meant by auto battle only works in the early game is that's the only time auto battle will get you 5 star battles and extra drops.

If you want the good stuff later on you have to play the game it was designed to be played, honestly wtf were they thinking adding auto battle? It did nothing positive for the game in the slightest.

XIII actually has a rather deep and strategic battle system but, nobody knows it exists because auto battle

So good. =Q=
For everyone that didn't know, they added completely free movement of the car just recently. The car was basically on rails before. While I am a defender of not being able to drive the car off-road since it makes no sense to do that with a luxury car (you also don't need to because you have chocobos for fast off-road traversal) and since the Regalia is a precious heirloom of Noctis' father, I would have found it very immersion breaking and without any fun to just get in the car, follow a preset course and auto-turn or park with a button press. :/

That's good! Driving the car is going to be so much more fun now to do now that there's more control over it. And if driving is going to be a big thing in the game then its good to have more control, but yeah the Chocobo's can be off road, the trains I'm wondering how the trains will work, and the airship is going to be amazing!
