I mean from the looks of things, this is likely more towards the vanilla build where they are testing the grounds of including the characters to put out first and then release the others in an update or expansion. It's already December and more than 60% of the cast are still missing, which might believe that characters will be cut but may definitely return in an update. (just a guess, though I think Dissidia along the updates will feature the highest amount of characters ever, and possibly, new characters coming.)

Thank goodness it's not like tekken where it's been arcade bound for like three years...I think I was in 10th grade when the beta build was out and now here I am a senior XD. They're probably also saving some characters for console to give an incentive for Japanese players to actually get it, you know how they don't seem to like buying consoles versions instead preferring to go to dat arcade instead

Yeah so an ultimate edition type update later on with more content probably? I'd be okay with that since 50 characters is a good goal to head for. I'm happy there's so many since it gives Fran those not as popular characters Fran a bigger chance of getting in... Fran. I am hoping for a story/ arcade mode type thing though at launch since I wouldn't want it to be what SFV seemed like with missing features.

Probably yeah. Arcades is dying heavily there due to the rise of mobile gaming, can't say for Dissidia arcades. I've never been to Japan so I wouldn't know lol.

Arcades usually go for a year, and then release it on console after (back then), now there is possibilities of including content literally on the same week or months from arcades to consoles, if the game is already out on consoles.

As soon as the weekend hits I'm playing FFXV again! Need to get farther! (It doesn't help that I got to Chapter 2 on my brother's profile, so I have to do it all over again)

I'm just starting chapter two today so you're not alone XD The cat quest was probably my favorite, the dino one was both long and anti climatic near the end when I had to get the gemstone.

Since there's no actual female in DFF I like so far I'll just have to wait and stick with Sephiroth, Onion Knight and Noctis, but I'll examine Yuna too if she's ever announced. I also have to tell Rendering Star the good news tonight when we play Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate together tonight!

If it does come out on March (*if* it does since that's just the placeholder month), I hope content from the arcades is added if not more than the arcades because I keep hearing consoles and arcades will have exclusive stuff from both that might not appear on the other.

I'm actually one of those who's not really fond of FFX-2 Yuna, she's not herself. She tries to be more like Rikku and Tidus (she even states this herself), it's not that I hate her, I just prefer the "original" one, which was not boring at all to me, but to each their own.
Anyways, I was just speaking gameplay-wise, since I would rather use the Aeon moveset than the guns. I think I'll still try her out if she ends up being with the Gunner moveset. xD

All I need is Yuna, Squall, Tidus, Sephiroth and Gabranth.
That is true, but seeing how Tecmo is a DLC whore machine, we will get some DLC clothes, characters , music and stages probably. XD

@Nikotsumi What if Yuna has two forms? Summoner and Spherehunter, that would make everybody happy.

You got good taste, Squall was one of my mains too.

Well, if they manage to do that I wouldn't complain for sure xD

Lol I can definitely see that happening, I wouldn't even be against it so long as the dlc is good, I'd expect dlc characters and outfits for sure, I want Fran more than anyone but I'd be happy to see Yuna, Paine and Rikku etc. Also I want a FFX-2 stage with "what can I do for you" playing in the background.
