I can't deny how amazing it looks.

Here's another video of how Aloy was created:

Lol, I actually know one of the character artists, I realized. Her style is uncanny. Didn't know she worked on this game.

PS4 Pro's Boost Mode put to the test by Digital Foundry. :)

Project Cars, Assetto Corsa and F1 2016 tested in Boost Mode:

So glad I got a Pro. :D
I can hardly wait to jump right back into The Witcher 3 once the new firmware update arrives.

Don't mind me...I'm just continuing my monologue...

Beautiful, beautiful Rime was previewed by Gameinformer:

Remember the game isn't Sony exclusive anymore, so in May also Xbox One, PC and Switch owners will get to play this. :)

Digital Foundry tested more games in PS4 Pro's Boost Mode. Among them The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Darksouls II and Darksouls III:

The Witcher 3 runs now at all times at a locked 30fps, even in Novigrad and the Bog. Loading times are about 10 seconds shorter. :)

Bloodborne's framedrops under 30fps are mostly eliminated but the framepacing issues persist unfortunately. This has nothing to do with hardware power though but with programming. From Software has to fix it for it to go away. :(
Same applies to Dark Souls III unfortunately. Framedrops are mostly eliminated but framepacing persists.
Darksouls II however, which is a PS3 port, runs at a locked 60fps now without any frame drops or framepacing. :)

I have some screenshots to unload from a few games. I'll start with World of Final Fantasy, game is pretty but being a japanese game it of course puts those big ugly watermarks on your screenshots and videos. (: Curious why Japanese games do this but not a single western game I can think of does.

There's a reason they do that: Most Japanese game developers games I know look really similar so they have to watermark their games otherwise it'd be so confusing deciding which game is which. If you hadn't told me which game this was I would've thought it was Dragon Quest Heroes XD The environment and even that small map is so similar to DQ, only the chibis give away the game imo and only because of that one screenshot. It's also FFXV doesn't do it for example since it's very distinct, but games like SK do this since a lot of games like to go for that realistic environment and anime character model look.

A lot of western games look the same too though

Also, it's not the real reason they do that, lol.
Japanese developers are still very strict and overprotective of their copyrights. They are generally not a fan of screenshot and video sharing and have overslept what a big, positive impact social media, streamers, reviewing sites and let's players have in marketing games world wide. These channels today sell the games. Western developers have long realized this and use it to their advantage. It's a hopeless endeavor anyway to completely protect your copyrights on today's internet.
Nintendo is an especially good example, because Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Japan are still so torn on this issue. Nintendo of America is pretty open and supportive of letting fans share their media, for example on Youtube in let's plays or reviews, they even partner up with Youtubers, Nintendo of Japan however is an absolute pain in the ass in this regard. They flag videos left, right and center that have the tiniest Nintendo game material in them. Many let's players and reviewers are really pissed off regarding that and it again was a big deal when the Switch was revealed.
That very different, antiquated view is the real reason, not because most Japanese games look the same. ;)

True but trust me it's more prevalent in Japanese games XD I hope they don't do it for Dissidia final fantasy tho, I don't want my hot secret screenshots to have a watermark...
I don't think there's any FF games on PS4 except XV that don't have watermarks so I would say it's highly likely Dissidia will have them. FFVII, FFX/X-2, and WOFF all have them.

No Man's Sky next. I didn't play it before the patches so idk how the color schemes were before then but I've really liked how every planet I've visited looked so far. Don't want to kill the page so I'll post more pics of it again at some point

Huh. I could've sworn that XIV didn't, but I guess I was wrong. At the very least, they're significantly less intrusive in that game than others.

OMG...that scenery...

And those machines... O:

People, who are are already playing the game, say it easily reaches Uncharted 4's graphics and that on a much bigger scale.
