I'm in love with them. I would see 'em any time they were near when I was stateside. The first time I saw 'em live at Warped and he cracked the beer, chugged it and started singing The New Black, I was hooked.
yeah they are cool guys too, years ago on my bday one of my good friends had the lead singer call me and wish me a happy birthday! it was awesome. I love the older stuff and I can never get enough of Hot Damn and Floater is my absolute fav song.

I think overall my favorite album of theirs is "The Big Dirty." Don't get me wrong, I love all their albums, and I play the shit out of them. ETID is fucking amazing and I wear my black shirt with a pink tiger on it that says ETID all the time. The Big Dirty just has a lot of songs I love. Although I love the one line in "Bored Stiff" on Gutter Phenomenon where he's like "I'm a cunt!" It just kind of seems out of nowhere and very well verbalised compared to a lot of the lyrics in the song, so I like playing it when people who don't listen to hardcore are in my car lol.

There's a quote of Keith's, someone asked him how he comes up with his lyrics, he said "I just carry a recorder with me and get blackout drunk." I totally agree though, and I really hate using that term for almost anyone, but he really is.

Judas Priest and Gorgoroth are my top two faves. Should give a pretty decent impression of my general tastes, so as not to have me list off a million and one difficult to pronounce band names.

Sounds like a plan, checking them out as we speak, but I probably won't get a chance to listen to it until I get back from the states since my computer is here in Japan.
Any Tool fans out there?
I'm a huge fan of Tool. Maynard is an excellent lyricist and Danny Carey is, in my opinion, one of the top 5 drummers out there.

Don't know who Gorgoroth is to be honest, but as I think I said earlier, Judas Priest is the shit. Painkiller fucks shit up.

Regarding Gorgoroth, look 'em up! Relatively speaking, not a whole heck of a lot of people like Black Metal, but Gorgoroth are my all-time favourite band, not just of that genre. If you like some of their best tunes (their best being "Funeral Procession"), you might like Dissection, Emperor, Dark Funeral, or so, so many others.

Guess I'll throw my hat in the ring here. Been listening to metal for most of my life.

Recently, I've been into a lot of Doom metal. Yob are fucking awesome, and essential to anyone who likes the genre.
Reverend Bizarre is another great one. There's more I'm forgetting I know
Neurosis is dope. Definitely one of my top live shows.
LOVE Motorhead. They put on an awesome live show.
Thumbs up to Bolt Thrower. I've liked them for years.

Oh and regarding Black Metal, Leviathan is great stuff. Highly recommended.

If you haven't heard Voivod, get on that.
