I was thinking more along the lines of every other fighter ever, including the Itagaki DOA's. (in regards to not being 100% full on intense serious HONKI DESU KA all the time.)
Yo that's low, we were chatting about character endings, not how you play story mode. Don't go mixing it up like that like it's what you were talking about in the first place.
DOA will always exist in my mind for its amazing character ending movies. I will, time and time again, gaze gloriously as that leaf falls on Kasumi's breasts. Wonder in awe as Eliot trains away time itself. Bask in the serenity of Brad Wong's meditation through the seasons to acquire sobriety. Laugh in confusion as Lei Fang murders an old man. Wonder what could have been as Jann Lee tosses his shirt away ready to pound some hooligans at his bar, revealing 3d modelling so detailed that we wouldn't even get a glimpse of it in Hollywood films for another couple of years, while pretty obviously depicting what the future for DOA character design was suppose to be before Team Butts decided they wanted to rewrite history.
I love all those character endings, each for their own unique reasons. Each character in DOA obviously had a tremendous amount of identity tied to them. To focus solely on the ninjas seems dumb to me, and I hope that isn't actually the case for DOA5.
