@Hyper Sonic: Really dude?
Lead platform? PS3. Sure. Doesn't mean much.
Physical/Digital release? PS3, but you're only buying it one way.
Choice is nice, but not a deciding factor.
Still have games coming out for two years after? Made up 'facts' are fun and it's highly likely the same will be true of Xbox 360, given current development cycles.
Best physical and HD features? Opinions. Xbox originally came with HDMI cables, which would give it the edge in most situations, but hey, the features are precisely the same, right down to 3D support and 1080p, ports, et al.
No region lock? There are region locks on PS3 content, just not physical discs. But hey, you're counting the digital release of DoA5 as a plus for PS3, so I'll twist that here. Also, not all 360 games are region locked, either.
That was fun.
Gotta the name right. Unfortunately that's all you got.
Lead platform. PS3. You'll see next week.
About physical / digital, every Xbot out here wanna talk about Blu-ray this and that, yet when comes time to deliver on the digital download experience, PS3 delivers in both games and visual media. Gotta problem wit that? Then do what Hayashi stated and "If you want the downloadable version earlier, tell Microsoft."
Speaking of which....
Games. Someone (you) hasn't been paying attention to E3 2012 (North America). Gamescom 2012 (Europe) and Tokyo Game Show 2012 (Japan/Asia) (going on right now by the way) required 'something' which Microsoft ain't got shit of and obviously decided then not to attend. That would be games.
That's right. Best physical and digital features. Which PS3 got locked down. Meaning 360 doesn't do the best HD experience, Blu-ray (physical) and if you wanna an even close experience, then go to your local pawn shop and look for that 2008 retired bootleg ass HD-DVD player add on.
Digital. Netflix. Hulu. Amazon. Better on PS3. Look it up or try yourself.
Xbox 360 DID NOT come originally with HDMI cables (HDMI 1.2 by the way which means no Dolby TrueHD and/or DTS-HD Master Audio for you) until late April 2007 with the Xbox 360 Elite. This is the very same platform that stated back in 2006 that 1080p, BD, and HDMI weren't needed.
Xbox 360 once again DOES NOT do native 1080p (only upscales) and doesn't do native 3D. "1080p" came to the 360 via the Fall Dashboard update in 2006 and the first advertised game to do this was UbiSoft's Splinter Cell Double Agent which ended up running in 1080i anyways.
The only region locked game EVER on PS3 is the recently released Persona 4 The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena.
Making a fool outta yourself shouldn't be fun. Should have paid attention for the last six years while at it.
