Team Ninja wants ideas for next patch!

I like the old DOA4 style lobby system for ranked matches. It's ridiculous how long it takes sometimes to get a ranked game going in DOA5. Wait five minutes -> play 2 rounds -> wait five minutes while having to hear that horrible rap song ._. Yesterday I waited at least 20 minutes to play the same player I had just played 20 minutes before..

Sounds like a router issue. I find a match within a few seconds usually.

I don't know about that. It does the samething to me. Sometimes its instant. Other times it can be a couple mins. Other 5. But today it's been doing like almost 10 mins which is longer than it's ever done. Earlier today I haven't been having that problem at all.

Try changing settings or maybe the time you play. I usually get ranked games in under a minute. Frequently under 20 seconds.

Yeah, sometimes I get it under 5 seconds, other times it takes 10+ minutes. It ranges, but the range is intolerable..

Ranking in 4 is extremely fast in comparison.

Yeah I'm trying to play rank right now and I swear each match is taking like 10mins to find one.
Seriously. I waited 5 miniutes only to find an F player when searching for A- and above. I think hes glitching because i fought him before but he was a B+, and hes done this before. I think he has a way of changing his grade to earn more points or something.

My theory from what I see is the long wait is because you're connecting to someone with sh*tty internet. All the matchese I had to wait forever for are 1-2 bar laggy crappy players. Doesn't help TN case, either. Definitely needs a damn connection filter. Earlier I play Something-Unique for example and our match barely had any lag so it connected faster. Just too many sh*tty/wireless connections online.

Keep improving netcode - obviously (+plus connection filters...)
Do NOT change moves yet - still way too early. I really like the core game, so I have no functional improvements to recommend on that end.
Fix messed up replays and add a rewind function as mentioned.
Camera mode - how about a nice high res, anti-aliased render instead of just a crappy screen grab? Use a format we can export, and maybe a slide show or next/previous image function instead of 3 commands and a load screen to look at a photo. Also, don't tempt us with a title for 100 pics, and then limit the system to 99 lol.

1. Further improve the netcode. It's improved yes, but we're not there yet, we just aren't.

2. Finish fixing all the glitches, sidestep glitch still happens in lobbies sometimes and there is the occasional freeze as well as some gameplay glitches here and there.

3. 4 Player online tag, it was honestly the most appealing thing about tag as a whole, no reason for it to be omitted.

4. Increase the duration of sitdown stuns and make them unstaggerable, your next attack being held after a sitdown stun completely defeats the purpose of sitdown stuns to begin with.

5. The ability to record/save lobby matches as replays whether or not you are playing or spectating.

6. As said before, the ability to link to your youtube account and upload replays directly to it.

7. Ein, but that's more of a request, I'm going to assume this is a gameplay patch and not a balance patch as well so I will keep my balance thoughts/requests to myself.

I would definitely address the dummy in training mode. They should make the dummy able to be struck, and then, block any attack that is not a natural combo, as an action -- instead of using both action and reaction to accomplish this feat. I also think, being able to go into the dummy's moves list and selecting the one(s) that I want dummy to do -- as an action and or reaction -- would be awesome. Team Ninja has done some great things with my beloved franchise. Now is the time to bring it on home. Carpe diem. (Wait. I think that's a fish.)

There is... Go into the options for critical holds... The option at the very top will be recovery. Make your selection from there.

Custom music on xmb for ps3. Also no balance changes to characters. Fix the still prevalent online issues. They could make ranked similar to ssf4 so you can have a chance to get a grudge match atleast. Idk thats it really as far as character balancing its in no way shape or form needed. Most gamers nowadays are too lazy to figure out how negate something. So they whine and groan until they get their way like big babies. Even the low hold doesn't bother me you just have to read your opposition. If it's not, an infinite, or it can be stopped than it doesn't need an adjustment. It kinda disgust me how much the FGC cries nowadays. Back in the day you toughed it out, but with this "Next G gaming" players have a proclivity to cry first chance they get. Don't me wrong when its broken...yes that **** is broken, but as far as DOA it needs no character nerfs maybe buffs, but no nerfs unless something is INDUBITABLY broken. Don't mind me I just dislike how some ppl just want everything handed to them as if they were Edward Longshanks.

For the love all things crispy and delicious, give me a frame data split for moves that can be cancelled into a stance -- like they use to track sprinters' separate times. I want to know the recovery information, in relation to when I can take my first action -- not just how long it takes to recover from a stance -- in relation to when my opponent can take their first action. That way, I'll know if I should cancel that move that had me at -5, into a stance or free cancel or whatever I choose.

It would also be nice to add a legend to the movelist. One that included information on moves that crushed -- whether high or low. Something as simple as a color-coded system would suffice.
