Well.. Eliot was non-existent on 4, and he's still non-existent here. Guess some things don't change.
Well like...14 ranked matches in a row, right now, all different people, all Helenas. (All doing the same patterns, ODDLY ENOUGH...)
Also, in previous DOAs, I saw Kasumi a lot...here, i've seen her a total of like...3 times.
Welcome to competitive fighting game tournaments.
When Bill was winning tournaments with Ein, everyone used Ein online.
When Manny was winning tournaments with Hayabusa, everyone used Hayabusa online (more than before).
When Carl was winning tournaments with Gen Fu, everyone used Gen Fu online.
It's just the standard pattern. Once the next big event has a new character win the tournament, everyone will start following suit with whatever they think is the new broken/top tier.
Just the way it is.

Honestly, the only characters I don't see often are the virtual fighter characters. I think who you play against really depends on where you are from. I don't think it has anything to do with the game being competitive.Yeah, its why I was really hoping DOA5 wouldn't be considered "competitive" worthy...
Its even more sad there's so many people trying to just hop in the coattails of the bandwagon. I seem them and just wanna yell "Just sit down and PLAY the damn game!"
Nooo.... pick up Mila instead!I haven't seen a Helena in a while... but I admit I was tempted to pick her up recently. I didn't even watch most of the tourney, she just fills out her swimsuit so well.
