We've had a Private Conversation going for awhile but I wanted to open it to the public now.

So MegaWarrior and I have met up and played DOA3.1 at my place previously. I'd like to start getting a routine gathering going. So tentatively, I'll be hosting a small gathering every weekend unless otherwise noted. Anyone who wants to participate just post up here and we can arrange something.

Well I'll be hitting the gym thursday evening, and Friday may be doable.

I'm still holding your RF cable and Power cord for ransom anyways.

Well, next time you come I should be able to modify it successfully. The longer you wait though, the greater the chance I have of forgetting all the steps necessary :p.

Also, does anybody here go down to Xanadu Games on Wednesdays?

I pass by the exit on I-95, but never have been to the place. Always felt like more of a Magic the Gathering competition place.

Well, it somewhat is. Card/board games go down in the front, fighting games are in the back. Wednesday's the biggest night for fighters.

But if you really want the best possible place to connect with the larger DMV fighting game community (and some UMBC game room vets), you probably should check it out. Hell, the original idea behind Xanadu was to give a place where gamers can gather, without having to rely on UMBC's Game Room.

And I would guess 10 bucks to play as long as you like is a fair price, too.

Yep. They do have their own array of TVs and EVO Monitors available, too. The earlier you can get there in evenings to set up, the better. If nothing else, because space is a premium.

Who knows? You might turn some heads if you still have "Kenshiro" in the game. ;)

But otherwise, don't feel too bad. Even "older" stuff like ST, GG:AC, MBAA and KOF98/2002UM is hard to get started down there, because most people just want to play whatever is "dat new shit". But guys like me and Pat(4r5) will play almost anything, so you never know!

I'd expect so. You know you would pass my new place in Columbia to get to Xanadu right?
