Meh, imo DOA5 has too many glitches to be considered game of the year, on top of horrible netcode and a horrible matchmaking service.

Yeah,the glitches and and crappy net code puts a damper on some of my enjoyment of the game. I will say that DOA5 lacks polish overall. My mind may change once I get my hand on Tekken Tag 2.But right now DOA5 is the best fighting game I have played this year other than KOF 13.

Good decision on Tekken Tag 2. That is one of the games i keep coming back to myself. It looks fantastic, plays well (though I am hopeless with some of the tag mechanics lol, but I'm learning) It's over flowing with content & the sheer size of the character select screen is off the charts. I've always had a soft spot for Tekken's humor as well; Ramming a cake in a bears face with a boxing kangaroo = win.

It wont be everyone's cup of herbal but if you're getting a hunger for all things fighting then there is a very good chance you will like it. Alot of Tekken fans of old reckon it's the best Tekken to come out in a long time simply due to the fan-service alone.

@Chaos,

The only games that keep my console warm at the moment would be TTT2 & Hitman Absolution. I am having a DOA5 hangover at the moment but still love the game to bits & will get back into that sucker when i get enough time off work.

I don't blame you.

Lili and Asuka didn't play Spin the Bottle nor 7 Minutes in Heaven, Zafina didn't have a lake bath scene, and the fridge humping threesome between Miharu, Alisa, and Xiaoyu was a bit underwhelming. No way I was gonna pay $60 for that. At least I'll get it for Christmas.

Fighting game of the year has to be VF5FS for me. Comfortably. To be fair, I have been hyping that game to near cardiac arrest in the 2 years of deprivation Sega saw us fit to suffer...
KOF 13 and, (universally reviled though it may be) SF X T take 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Rounding out 4th and 5th are DOA5 and TTT2

As much as I like Naoto, this isn't funny anymore. First G4 screws over both TTT2 and DOA5 for a nomination, Spike VGA (though non-legit as fuck) did the exact same thing and voted Persona 4 to screw them over when they were both nominated, and now Destructoid's doing the same thing.

It's like everyone knows it's a damned if they do/don't situation if they voted for either DOA5 or TTT2, considering the tensions of the past regarding the two franchises, so they look to Persona or VF5FS as the "great equalizer". Were any of them informed Itagaki left the company years ago, or what?

couldn't careless about 2d fighters but as for as 3d goes TTT2 and VF5FS are the only choices that deserve it. SCV despite its flawless netcode shitted on alot of fans(me included) by cutting half the roster and of course DOA5 was obviously rushed with cut characters, horrible netcode, gltiches out the ass, and terrible dlc nickel and diming people for regurgitated outfits from previous games. TTT2 and VF5FS offer great netcode, an abundance of character customization options, no ripoff dlc shenannigans while providing great gamepay to boot....and best of all NO CUT CHARACTERS

ALL DOA6 DOA5 DOA4 DOA3 DOA2U DOAD
