I don't believe anyone held out on buying DOA5 just because it was missing a character... I mained Tengu but that didn't stop me from getting it and learning like 5 new characters. Just sayin

But seriously, if Ein is in I would be a little surprised not to see Kasumi Alpha. Neither character needs a completely new movelist or character model, just a few costumes. Kasumi fans pray with me!

I voted Rachel and Momiji. Only ones other than them I would Like to see is Ein, Leon and Tengu and maybe Raidou. Everybody else is irrelevant.

I voted for someone new because I'm not too familiar with the characters listed from the series past

But any character, new or old is fine by me. It would be great if they just threw them all in, then noone would miss out on the ones they currently miss.

Regarding Tengu, I'd like to see him back too but with some changes to his design. He was too large in past games so a thinner, less exaggerated version of him would be cool.

No thanks. Come on, man, that would take away from is cool appearance. He'd just look weird and wouldn't be the same anymore. There's nothing wrong with his size. It's not like putting Ridley in SSB. That would be too big.

I'm fine with anything they do to him, I wouldn't play him anyway. I just though given the more "realistic" (I know, lol) look they gave the characters in DOA5, the huge Tengu from before might be awkward

This was a really nice and subtle mention for the NG fans

Returning on the topic, IMO Leon, Ein and Tengu were treated too many times by the fans and the developers like a "single missing entity" for thinking that they will not return together.

What I wanted say is that from the release of Doa5, more times the fans and the developers talking about these characters have considered Leon, Ein and Tengu like a sort of single entity: the absence of one character rather than three different ones.

So for me it's very likely that, when will happen, they will return in the series together (so not just 1 or 2 of them).

ah i see.i wouldn't exactly say "single entity" more like a concept. the concept of course being catering to the fans wishes.in the same post there would often be post requesting better stages and costumes(i think everyone gave up on Hayabusa's mask)

More or less. Tengu was missing from DOA3 though, so I consider Leon and Ein as more of a single entity.

I think his standard appearance actually fits the new graphics style quite well, honestly. Unlike the rest of the cast, I really don't think they'll give him much of a makeover at all, much like with Gen Fu. If they wanted to be lazy about it, they really could just buff up the textures on his DOA4 model and he'd be good to go, lol. Though I would certainly hope they'd put more effort into it than that.

Soulcalibur V cut Yun Seong's fighting style. I did not get that game for this reason.
The style was in the game since SOULEDGE.

But I must contest, I wouldn't be hindered from buying DOA for some reason. Something about them taking 7 years to release a damn sequel.

Dude, he was my main. It made me so mad that the rest of the game became un-appealing. My secondary was always Yoshi, but I just couldn't get into 5.

Not really in 2, he was a pretty cool, albeit slightly obnoxious character. But he got progressively worse with each game.

I couldn't stand Yun Seong in Soul Calibur IV. But the remedy for that was customization.
I also miss Assassin from Soul Calibur II. SCII is definitely my favorite of the series.
