Faith wasn't restored, they just did what any used car dealer does - sell you on the test drive.

The difference is that we have 4 more months for the euphoria of the test drive to wear off instead of a few minutes.

Spark was good.
New Halo is good.

But I have minecraft
BF4 will be multiplat
Titan fall is on 360
PS3 online is free and I bet it'll still be free and better on PS4 (Better than PS3 that is).

So what was sold to me?

I think this was a C+ conference when it really needed to be an A- atleast.

Multiplat doesn't matter when most, myself included, will only be buying one (or none) at launch.

So what sold me is the following:
Killer Instinct
Battlefield 4
Titanfall (seriously enjoyed the gameplay)
New Halo was exciting though the teaser didn't show much at all, or even if it was Halo 5
Quantum Break could be something truly special and I like the concept
New Xbox Live perks for 360 in the meantime
Twitch.tv over Ustream
Dead Rising 3 was impressive just in terms of scope...kinda like a super polished State of Decay

And those are the big ones for me. So I did take a lot out of this that I liked. I wouldn't say they killed it or anything but they met my expectations to keep me on board.

That was announced earlier today and accidentally confirmed a couple days ago by GameInformer's cover reveal. Titanfall (is it really TitanFall? why not just put a space...) has me seriously interested. I wonder what the player count will be on Xbox One.

If a PS4 launches at a sub-$400 price point I'll probably grab one at launch. But if the SKU cuts big corners I won't bother.

I don't actually see an issue with a $500/$600 price-point assuming that there's awesome content to justify a purchase at that price. The PS3's problem was the price coupled with zero content. Hopefully that won't be the case this time around for Sony.

Sony has some cool shit on offer this time around. I'm just hoping for that price point I mentioned. I will get one, just like I have both consoles for the current generation, but I need something compelling.

If that leak pans out, a multiple SKU approach won't be so bad, depending on what the differences are between the packages. Like, say the prices are $399/$499/$599 ... if the $599 SKU simply has a bunch of stuff packed-in (that can be bought separately later), that can be scratched off my list .. and if the $399/$499 difference is something like HDD size, my pick will depend on if I will be able to upgrade the smaller drive later on (like with old PS3 models).

That said, I can easily just wait a year or so and buy with some kind of pricedrop or special holiday sale. I'm in no rush at the moment to jump to next-gen.

Since my primary gaming console will be Xbox One, I'd jump at a $399 PS4 if it was just a smaller HDD.
