Be Curious: Directional Inputs - Get Ready Fight #2

Brianna is one of the localizers for Koei-Tecmo. She's only been there for a little more than a year. When I first met her she didn't know anything about Fighting Game terminology including tournament rulesets and the like.
Nah, i would agree that teaching those tools is too much at once. Focus on the prize, and the prize is to understand timing and mechanics. My guess is, she's not actually learning. The video layout seems consistent with having only 4 or 5 videos to explain how to perform combos, and they don't want to just offer that awesome information to those who don't earn it, which is why the combo training sucks. She should *NOT* be learning CB before defense. This just teaches her to try unsafe things just to hope for some damage. If defense even gets mention at all, it will be passing information. The video is setup so that she shows us a preview of the next video, showing that this was all scripted just as we predicted. Watch, there'll be no preview, now (remember, if they're certain it's useful for teaching, they already have all the lessons recorded [also so it can get the rating for general audiences on time]).
Lol @ PUNISH HIM! Kinda interesting that Peter didn't let Brianna know that 8K is in fact a launcher on CH, because on NH it just looks like a lift stun move. Although he did want to emphasize exploration, but for someone fairly new it's generally a good idea to let them know about some useful tools like launcher options. 7K was definitely an odd choice for a launcher considering that it sets up combos too advanced for a beginner due to the teleport, but it's what she "discovered" first lol.

@Bandito Brianna's role at TN I don't think revolves around play testing or anything and she's one of the relatively newer members at TN. It is possible that she is new to actually learning how to play the game.
Good job, you did a 1-hit juggle using a really bad launcher! ^o^
Ok, now she's looking really fake. She does a combo first time, then she fails a few. I'm feeling like there's only going to be about 4 or 5 videos, in the end.
from the description it seems like she's a member of team ninja...so how the hell does she not know anything in regards to playing DOA is beyond me..maybe she's just putting on a act for the video

Team NINJA members Peter and Brianna find direction! Directional inputs combined with strikes form new and sometimes more powerful moves in Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. So what to do after a powerful combo leaves your opponent helpless?

CRITICAL BURST
Newcomers will see the term Critical Burst used in the video. This topic is too detailed to get into in this video, but here's a quick overview. When the words "Critical Stun" flash red above an opponent (like at 01:54 in the video), then you can use a Critical Burst move to put your opponent in a Critical Burst state. In this state, they are completely vulnerable, so it's a great chance for big damage! All characters have Critical Burst moves. Find your favorite character's Critical Burst move, then play around to discover different combos to put an opponent into Critical Burst! Remember - be curious!

00:38 Directional inputs - movement & strikes
01:29 New move added previous episode's combo
02:02 Be curious: new combo
02:54 Get creative: make a new end of your own
