Bullrush does almost no damage! You can counter Astas strong throw game by whiff punishing!! I must know, i played Asta in all SC-games, went to tourneys, won tourneys, placed high ect. I didn´t say it is easy, you have to be good at reading your opponent. But that´s not uncommon for DOA-players, right?

Lol, you make it sound like fighting Astaroth is easy. Once you start ducking, you'll get bullrushed into oblivion.

Just try to anticipate a grab... duck and whiff punish. His mid moves lack spreed and natural damage potential. Problem solved...

Yeah B breaks the Launcher Grab, but then he just starts doing 63214:A BE for big damage anyway. You're never safe from Asta's grabs.

I don't think so, if you just Break B all the time he can't get his best damage. If his back to the an edge break A.

Astaroth is technically a balanced character unlike say Viola ugh... >.<, but his general gameplay is kinda BS. He reduces everything to 50/50 throw mixups whenever he can, and when he guesses correctly, he gets an inordinate amount of damage, especially if a wall is nearby. He's like a DOA character in SC almost. More guessing than you'd like. Another a different note, Voldo is sick!

@Worst, come on that outfit was hideous and you know it lol.......Anyway I like SC4 better than 5 but will still take SC over DOA anyday, especially offline. My Voldo was cold wit it....I play with Astaroth too and he was better on 4 too....I like that you can create your own characters and the weapon based fighting better, plus the parries(although better to do on SC4) SC > DOA....and that costume did suck sorry

Astaroth's charged bullrush has a stupid hitbox, don't try to sidestep it. But yeah, Astaroth is dumb in SCV.

@DNutzSixty9 ; The costume broke during Battle 4... My costumes are not crappy. I have 0 respect for Astaroth players, and DOA and SC cannot be compared. They're two different games.

I gave up on this game. Its so terrible.

That last move she did was a while rising move which has a sidestep to it.....Also they have a guard break crush which leaves U vulnerable for the next move if you block while a power hit is done against you.... That was that green effect part that occurred.....That girl character is a create a character someone made and didn't finish her costume or made a crappy costume rather lol..... she is using a weapon from Leixia who is Xiangua's daughter from the previous series..... The big guy is a real character Astaroth and he's a beast!!!!! This is my favorite fighting game tied with DOA w
