  • Leifang players, could you tell me when and why you do parries over holds? I am curious since parries have longer recovery and less damage.

The most difficult parry to land are sabaki. Those suckers put the opponent in most hold situations and again, very technical and it's all about the setups you can do afterwards. You can go for a launch, critical burst, set them up for offensive holds, lots of of options after a party lands. Holds give her damage but in order to keep the stun game, one good party starts a stun game and screw with their heads.

New players usually start off with just utilizing the holds, and that's fine, because Lei's holds do damage.

I recommend easing yourself into her parries though. You will get guaranteed damage from them and the damage adds up.

@Rich Nixon @Fullmetal @deathofaninja Thanks for the replies! I always do advanced holds with her and get rewarded with good damage a decent amount of times. Sabaki and parry are the tools I am not utilizing to their full potentials. I guess I will take your valuable advice and start working on them!
