    Lopedo says that the SS in 5 isn't because it works diffrenetly than other fighters - Terry's power wave isn't a projectile either I guess.

    It doesn't de-align anything, it's just a move with frames that ignore certain attacks during certain frames. The movement of your hitbox isn't actually affecting the trajectory of anything, so to say it is not a side step is actually quite correct. If anything, it's a very convincing optical illusion.

    So it doesn't work exactly the same as other systems traditionally utlized fighters - Lopedo's point is that once you step you should evade an entire string if none of the moves are designated as tracking. My point is that the defender has enough options as is and doing that will push the game further into his wheel house. I don't have a problem with the SSing personally.
