    Good ear. I just noodled it out and it is indeed the same(palm muted open e into an e-flat-e5 powerchord on the A string). Someone is kinda lazy.

    My question is, why would they use キャ kya when they could have used カ ka instead? Was it just a stylistic choice or something along those lines? Thank you in advance.

    Good question. It happens fairly often for things like "candy", "cabinet" and others. The best guess I can tell you is that it might be used for "a" sounds in English. Because there isn't an "uh" sound in Japanese, it all just falls under あ. For instance, カット would be "cut" and キャット would be "cat".

    But, this only seems to be true for words that use the hard "c/k" sound.

    Okay, I understand now, thank you! I've already learned all the Hiragana and I'm currently working on learning Katakana now. Then it's Kanji.... hopefully it won't be too bad though. I'm learning Japanese for Corpse Party Blood Drive, since it won't be localized for a long time (plus, I've always loved Japanese culture, this just gives me a reason to actually do it).
