I reckon it happened because there's an ever increasing diversity at these events so it may not have been an issue before because there weren't enough ethnicities at these events for it to reach that level.
True although I don’t think most of the people attending the event has ever experienced racism in such a raw true form that they described. It’s one thing to read about, but to experience it without filter is another.
Most of it is made up BS I'm sure. I've read the stories and the complaints are mostly about confederate flags. Welcome to Florida, that's a thing. People need to get over it.
That’s another thing I noticed in the trump era btw, confederate flags/german eagle flags/“don’t tread on me” flags popping up in a lot more places even in the northeast where I live. My mom literally has a roommate who talks about “keeping the bloodline pure” lmfao
You're only noticing it because the media makes a big stink about it. That kind of stuff has been around for decades. I grew up around dont tread on me flags and shit. Its just a southern/redneck/cowboy thing. Hell even black kids in my high school when I was a kid ran around in pick up trucks and confederate flags.
I was taught what the confederate flag meant in elementary school, I didn’t just learn about it from the “liberal media” and it definitely started appearing a lot more in the last two years. Houses that just had american flags before now fly american flags & confederate flags.
